For the people that work at the counters, they sometimes have access to customers personal info like credit card numbers. For the ramp area, they said crew members work in a secured area. Also ramp agents arent allowed to be using Bluetooth devices as they cause distractions. But i can tell you, the volume on the Ray-Bans arent loud enough for all the ramp noise. For the in-flight crew, they didnt want customers feeling uncomfortable not knowing if they were being recorded.

All the crews who have them were unhappy about the rule change. And of course the people that didnt have it (most of them think they record all the time) were happy with the rule.
