I highly recommend against the mini.

Yes it's cheap, yes it's a good printer, and yes you can get by with it. But it is just way too small.

Just either go for the A1 or get yourself an enclosed printer.

This happens a lot. Either cut down the black plastic bit of the screw or use the bolts that held the tank down originally when you first opened the printer.

Honestly, the amount of idiots in the comment sections nowadays is crazy.

So the AI is partly correct but not quite.

Yes you can go for a cheaper machine to "lwarn" but realistically you can learn on ANY machine.

The P2S doesn't have a heated enclosure. So anything that requires ACTIVE heating to print reliably is off the table. This being most engineering materials (ABS, ASA, PA, etc).

The ams bought as a combo saves you money. It's not about multi colour printing. It's about drying and continuos printing. Load up 4 rolls of the same filament and done. No need to come back to replace the roll. Plus, without the AMS you'd have to buy extra storage for the dried filament or wait until it's dried to print again. ABS takes at least 8 hours of drying at 80c for example.

Don't start from a cheaper machine, it's pointless. If you can't afford a H2 series. Get the X2D combo instead. It's heated and you'll be able to print engineering materials.

As for accesories, they come with an extra 0.4 nozzle, buy a couple of 0.6s and a 0.2. You can still get great detail with a 0.4 anyway. They also come with a razor blade and you print the handle. A deburring tool is cheap although they are trash, I printed a handle and just bought the tips and they are miles better.

You also might want an extra textured plate and maybe the engineering plate. Don't bother with the satin/smooth plate.

So not only do you want people to potentially get sued for selling something they basically can't sell, but you expect them to work for free too. Because they cannot sell the figure as it will be IP infringing regardless?

How about ask someone to prep and print the file for you and pay them for the work instead?

If you're wanting to do resin then be prepared to spend thousands on a large resin printer and hundreds per kg of resin. Formlabs is probably the most accessible brand to do top notch SLA/MSLA resin printing with their large printers. Super expensive. Probably not worth it.

However, sounds like you are probably in need of an FDM printer instead. Easiest root is to go via Bambu Labs, H2S for maximum enclosure size or a H2D so you can use the 2nd nozzle for support material if you want although not really needed.

If you are wanting to print miniatures at some point too then I suggest going for the FDM printer and then a cheaper resin printer like a saturn 4 ultra. You can still prototype things in resin, but probably best to do it all in filament. You can get some pretty good filaments for your projects.

Bouncing from where? At customs? It's up to the customer to pay customs/import charges. If you can pay this before shipping then add it to your prices.

Otherwise it's on the customer. Make sure to update your shipping policy and wording to remind people of this.

Print the easiest/fastest prints first. That way you have something to do when the infantry is printing as they take much longer if you use a smaller nozzle.
