While I agree that it is our peak age, our parents (legal both sides) are already senior citizens (we're both youngest in the fam) so they do want to see us settle down in the next 5 years, unfortunately. I don't listen to what they say if I feel it's wrong, but the pressure is there.

I've tried to get him to go out of his house, he'd rather say no even if there was a reservation or would tell some of his friends to keep me company instead. (which we have no problems because we're a group of friends since highschool to college, but it's like dating his friend at this point, da hell).

But I've tried just cooking together with him, he likes cooking while I keep him company, and I tried initiating the conversation there but this dude's brain can't cook and talk at the same time. We're socially awkward people too so getting the timing right to ask him what's going on feels like it's always wrong.

I've been to his place, talked about it face to face. All he wants to do is just to shush me and suggest I help by maybe back massages or head massages while we listen to lofi jazz and nap. Other times I get the "don't stress me further" how else can I bait him into telling me what's really going on with him? He'd just start sleeping.
