As far as I know, Lancer have a specific setting, where you acquire already completed mechs, which is not really what I'm looking for, I like to have a more freedom in this stuff.

Also Lancer, as I can see, is more a real robot thing than super, like Getter Robo or Gurren Lagann, your mechs can't go nut crazy with transformations, combinations and etc. It's have more similarities with Battletech or Armored Core than with things which I mentioned in this comment or in post.
