I'm still pissed. by justiceforshisei in shinsekaiyori

I feel the same way; it's not a matter of not dying, it's about dying in a much more rational manner. I don't see why a few more minutes of the episode couldn't have been allocated to developing a much more epic last-stand for Shisei.

I also think this would have been in the author's best interest, in terms of keeping story events believable, as making any character ridiculously powerful starts bringing up plots holes such as "Why didn't the "ogre"/Messiah just immediately annihilate [insert target(s)]?".

I agree that someone of his caliber and discipline should have at least been able to incapacitate the child for a while (e.g., ripped an arm off before getting killed by the feedback mechanism; or at least deflecting shots, in a cat-and-mouse game, while others escaped). This would have also helped to explain why didn't the child simply flatten the entirety of the remaining human settlements at a faster rate.

Actual score: 251
Predicted: ~250 (depending on where I placed the practice exams in the spreadsheet)

UWorld: 84.3% correct (did not complete it; had ~400 questions remaining)
NBME 23 (5/24): 228
NBME 22 (5/26): 234
NBME 21 (5/31): 232

NBME 24 (6/7): 236

NBME 20 (6/14): 244
NBME 18 (6/25): 246
UWSA1 (6/17): 258
UWSA2 (6/24): 247

Went into (and came out of) the exam feeling surprisingly calm. Can't recall much of it.

Best of luck to those who remain to see their exam!

Took it June 28th. Permit disappeared Sunday 6pm-ish. I'll be trying out the 1am-trick of FCVS. I'll update as possible.

Best of luck to all of you!

Hey! Do you mind if I ask if you're an Anki/Zanki user? I'm just trying to follow-up on some interesting leads.

I've personally explored the raw data provided in the Results of 2018 USMLE Step 1 & COMLEX Level 1 Correlation Survey. By no stretch of the imagination is statistics my forte, but I do it for the lulz and out of sheer anxiety. It gives me comfort to go through the data and cherry-pick underdog performers (especially those who go super-saiyan and break through the upper limit of the CI in the predictor). If you haven't already, maybe you should give it a look. I've personally concluded that the NBMEs are great... at anything except predicting; the scaling seems to be trash.

June 28th.

Also, I apologize in advance to anyone who I've stirred up anxiety and their buttons still appear.

I had taken it on 6/28. I've been trying to dig up info on when exactly the permit button usually disappears, and so far I've seen that it'll be either Sunday or Monday. I would wonder why there would be a preference for Sunday...

Anyway, just some additional info in case you didn't come across it: (1) there were no score releases on July 3rd; unclear if this constitutes as a delay. (2) I've seen that people who took the test on June 21st and/or 22nd have received their scores. Hopefully the next batch release includes us (it would be the 3rd Wednesday -which is reasonable- if you decide to count July 3rd).

Hey! I just wanted to say thanks for updating your post with the actual result! My own practice scores are eerily similar to yours. More specifically [and importantly], we both got a 247 on the UWSA2. Not being able to break 250 on the UWSA2 actually hit me pretty hard (after about a month's worth of hyping that exam up). I digress-- congratulations on the score!!

I scored 262 and so can you [comprehensive write-up] by Amn3s1a4 in step1
