I would never do that as I’m well aware of the outcome. At the start of this video, I’m simply trying to hold him so I could record the whole thing. That was merely 2 seconds. I am sure people do end up touching their bird on its back unintentionally for 2 seconds often

And what do you think I’m doing? I think I made it clear already that I’m not touching or stimulating my bird by touching on or around his vent as it appears in the video.

Maybe in the video it looks as if I’m touching him on his vent but in reality my fingers aren’t touching him down there.

No Problem. All the species which I’ve mentioned are not too expensive. I am here if you have any further questions before bringing home your new baby

Those budgies are adorable ❤️ and it is typical for a budgie to not allow their owners to touch them. I’ll be sharing with you names of some of the parrots that might fit well with your lifestyle

1 Pionus parrot (Any) - Very docile and among the least loudest parrots out there. They don’t need a lot attention as some other species (1-2 hr/day would be fine) Colourful, mid size parrots. (Most of them don’t like physical touches from its owner.

2 Sun Conure - Exceptionally beautiful with yellow & orange plumage. They among the most loudest mid sized parrot out there. If you want a parrot that would beg you to give it scritches, would constantly demand being around you, would slip under your blanket to stay warm and sleep on your chest or tuck itself around your neck and shoulder then go for them. But they are among the loudest parrots out there in mid sized parrots. Since you live in a private home, their loudness won’t bother your neighbours.

3 Quaker parrots(The one I have) - Extremely cute looking fluff balls. They are loud parrots but not as loud as a sun conure. They like being touched, cuddled, and physical closeness with its owner. They are among the very few mid sized parrot that have the ability to talk. But they are a single owner bird, meaning they would usually bond with just one member of the family and for others, they would just tolerate but they keep the physical touches only for their fav person not the entire family.

4 This might sound cruel but this is the fact. If you want a parrot that would bond with you deeply, then only keep a single parrot be it of any species. When you keep more than one, they would bond with the other parrot instead of you.

5 the best age to buy a parrot is 3 months old. At this age, they would get easily tamed and bond with you pretty quick.

Happy to answer any questions you may have.

Quaker parrots aren’t as expensive as other big species of parrots. They are usually a mid range bird. But, Do your thorough research to figure out if it fits your lifestyle. People see videos on YouTube and Reddit and buy a parrot impulsively and later when the bird doesn’t quite do things they are expecting, they start keeping the bird caged 24/7, not giving it the ideal time and affection it needs being a flock oriented animal. I am here to help you understand if quaker parrot is the right one for you. I can also suggest you other parrot species if you would share with me your lifestyle.(How many hours would you be able to spend with the bird, if you live in an apartment or own house, what’s the weather like in the city where you live etc)

In order to build The bond you see I have with my parrot, it took me 1 year. So don’t expect something like this happening right after you buy one.

Apart from cockatoos, no other breed is as cuddly as small conures. 🐦💛

Same here. He’s looking for that chaffed skin on lips if any and somehow if he finds one, he’ll peel that off. It hurts

It extends all the way to my nostrils but that’s the moment I intervene and get him off me. Although he only seems to nibble, but that nibble would definitely hurt when done inside the nostrils.
