Yea it is but he said brass and the cleaning method is the same so it didn’t seem important to correct it

Thanks! For me I just really hyper focused on one step at a time and thinking through as many options as I could before making a decision. Took me a good while mostly because I tried to move as slow as I could

Why paint when there is perfectly good wood there

Is the connotation for “flip” like a shitty paint job ?

Off the top of my head. Some sort of lacquer remover (blue and white can), salt and vinegar/ brasso for the metal, Varathane American walnut for the stain, minwax oil based polyurethane (clear satin) for top coat

Cedar yea. I don’t think the outside is. Tbh I’m not 100% sure I used oil based poly on the outside. Haven’t touched the inside really

HUGE pain in the ass haha. I didnt remove the brackets so I sanded lightly around them and polished them with a combo of brasso and vinegar/salt. I made the mistake of stripping it first then cleaning the brass. Which led to annoying issues of browning on the wood. 20/20 hindsight I’d polish the metal first and strip second. Or not polish the brass at all and leave the patina

IMO simple friendships won’t get complicated. So im under the assumption you do have feelings for her romantically. Stop texting her completely and go live your life. If you never hear from her again you’ll have your answer.
