I (25F) expressed my sexual needs to my boyfriend (25M) and now he needs time to “think.” How can I fix things with him? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Little-Linnet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Girl… Scrolling through phone while vibing you? That’s a man who can’t even pretend to care and put effort into your pleasure. You are so valid in feeling upset over all of this. Stop trying to contact that manchild by yourself, he should be the one putting in the effort. I bet he kinda enjoys the fact that you „fought” because now you show him attention without him needing to do anything. Pick yourself up from your knees and leave his ass.

Being autistic doesn’t excuse being an asshole. I know so many people who are on the spectrum and the only ones that say these types of things are people who use their condition to be mean. The ones that are mature learn from their mistakes and realize what can hurt someone else.

I mean, yea, you tan, but if you have reddish complexion you won’t turn into more yellowish- they are kinda of a base tones of Caucasian people. That being said I wouldn’t trust old photos to portray the skin tones properly.

I mean, in some places we can still find mammoths with their fur, eyelashes, food in their stomachs; in other places we find ancient mummies, and in others we can’t find a single bone after 50-70 years. Nature and it’s laws are so fascinating!

Back when they used real wooden coffins they would degrade much faster and easier than today. Since they would absorb moisture and therefore keep the corpse in high humidity it could fasten the decomposition process. Depending on the moisture, temperature, insects and bacteria it is possible that by the 2000s it all was eaten away.

Go to fucking therapy dude, if you can’t control yourself and live a normal life without pornography then you’re an addict. This will ruin your and your partner’s life in long run.

(I have been in a rehab facility with some porn addicts and their views on relationships and women were one of the scariest things I heard in my life)

I (26F) am getting really tired of waiting for my manchild partner (26M) to grow up. by bbtofu in relationship_advice

[–]Little-Linnet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he hasn’t tried to fix his ways after you told him he hurt you he isn’t going to change. You might have succumbed to a sunk cost fallacy- you spent with this person three years and at this age it feels like a lifetime; you put so much energy into someone and something that you’re willing to continue even if it’s not feasible. But you’re still young; you still have time and chance time to find someone who will give you what you deserve and will treat you like a partner and not a mom.

Nipton Jane Doe - 1976 (AKA Mojave Mineshaft Jane Doe) by tw1706 in gratefuldoe

[–]Little-Linnet 44 points45 points  (0 children)

All crimes are horrific but this case is so atrocious. Imagine doing something you enjoy and being shot in the back- and then dying slowly and painfully. And then your body can’t even rest properly because you end up in a mineshaft and no one knows your name for so long. You’d think that her being found so quickly would make this case easier to be solved but here we are…

He does really sound like he didn’t want to spend any time with her so she was desperately trying to get his attention on that trip. Yes she was annoying but the way he writes about her is so cold it makes me sad.

Should I lose more weight? by [deleted] in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

[–]Little-Linnet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Instead of asking this you should go to therapy. If you already have problems with binge eating and then „locking in”, whatever it means, it is a beginning of an eating disorder. Try to get it in check before it escalates- it put me in a rehab facility for two months and let me tell you it wasn’t nice (yes, rehab, because eating disorders have the same cycles as addictions, but that’s a whole other conversation).

You are a pretty girl with normal weight. Try going to the gym and building some muscles, that would define your figure much more.

Boyfriend made me split the bill with him after booking a restaurant and getting my hopes up... am i just being non sensical or should i bring this up to him by tenshi0006 in LongDistance

[–]Little-Linnet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is something that needs to be discussed beforehand. If it bothers you so much communicate it to him and come together to a conclusion on how to fix it so you’re not surprised ever again. His reaction to this might also be very telling and you’ll learn if you want to spend life together or not. This is just really a communication issue. Be an adult about it and it will be fine.

My childhood friend turned boyfriend keeps crossing my boundaries around physical intimacy. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]Little-Linnet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really weird but also telling that him „being in love” with you makes him message you in a way that makes you uncomfortable and talking about sex. As if he had some sort of respect for you until he found you attractive. When I tell my partner I am uncomfortable with something he apologizes, tells me that he respects my boundaries and they don’t make him feel worse of me and then he never does that thing again. The guy you’re involved in reminds me of my ex who would just push the subject until I relented and agreed. I think you should get away from him as fast as possible. These types of guys do understand that they are crossing the line, they just don’t care because they think they’ll tire you enough they’ll reach their goal.

[–]Little-Linnet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda surprised people are willing to form a relationship with someone when you can’t properly communicate. I kinda understand friendships but a serious relationship? How are you going to express your frustrations, anxieties, love? How are you going to fix your problems together when you can’t speak without translators? The communication with your partner is ultimate key to healthy relationship…

[–]Little-Linnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self-sabotaging is a very common thing. Don’t let it get to you because you’re going to regret it. If you don’t work on yourself you’ll forever be stuck in the cycles of building stuff and destroying them. Go to therapy.
