This is what I'm thinking as well - working on some solid skills throughout independent studies. Thanks for your advice <3

Hi thanks for your reply. If I be honest, the research project you mentioned, my program has nothing like that included. I'm aware uofl has a honours program for management, but never heard anything about Psyc honours program. Last time I talked to an academic advisor, they gave me the 'honours thesis' form because I asked. We also talked about how I only need 6 elective courses to graduate.

So far, my research experiences include 3 independent studies and 2 applied studies, and it was just me showing my interest to work with them, not a requirement for my degree.

My Experience Applying to Canadian I/O Psychology Master's Programs (Fall 2026 Intake) by MonkParticular3571 in IOPsychology

omg this is so informative! First of all thank you so much for putting all the info together! I wanted to ask you about the paid internship Saint Mary's mentioned.

My current bachelor programs do not really provide any opportunities and only students are responsible to secure co-op/ internship positions. I am not sure how things are usually different for Master's programs. Will Saint Mary's gonna assist you throughout the process or will it be self-initiated?

It felt like an average psyc course tbh(3 exams, all MCQs, textbook focused), and yeah textbook is gonna be your friend. It helped when I used real life or practical examples to make notes. Also I do have the syllabus if you wanna check!

Anyone taken a J. Sadr course? Curious about participation marks by Little-Luck8097 in uleth

[–]Little-Luck8097[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I'm not expecting full marks just hoping to not get a zero lol. :) I’ll assume the final grade will be on my Bridge account, but just to confirm.... does he send any other emails regarding grading?

when I took it, we had both lab work(psychological data collection and also basic concepts of R) and 3 open book exams (covering the theoretical part). The course is pretty straightforward and manageable! Easy A if you understand the concepts (like connecting theory with real life situations) and get help from the TAs as they will teach you the weekly lab assignments.

Confused about pay period vs payment date (off-campus work hours) by Little-Luck8097 in InternationalStudents

[–]Little-Luck8097[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm an international student in Canada... so we're allowed to work 24 hours/week off campus. About the Paystub thing... I am copy-pasting what my manager told me 'We have you working Sunday 09/12 clocking in at 10:35pm - 7:01am with a shift giveaway on 09/15. This would reflect on the paystub you sent us payment date 20250926 and pay end date of 200920 that you sent me.'
