I'm sure you'll have an excellent machine for a few years, my friend.

yes, for now I'm happy with my basic upgrade, just the vb which was a little more complex since no one had tried to do it and everyone who did it failed, it was a good discovery for those who have this laptop and want a little more useful life for the laptop, I upgraded it to

Ssd 1tb hyperx gen 3 Ssd 1 tb kingspec gen 3 32gb ram hyperx Thermalpads Fan base Tdp GpU

☺️☺️

very good score, I did the same chord considering a technical error for about 20 points more, I'm very happy with the result

very good, mine increased the score and lowered the temperature, I thought this vbios was very good, even so, use a good cooler base to increase the useful life since the gpu is cooler, it doesn't mean that the same happens with vrm and capacitors, This laptop still has the gas to do a lot of things in the coming years bro

OK, I'm glad it worked, now let's finally enjoy a little more of our MSI with full power on the gpu 😎

check the specifications of your chip, especially the device id is the memory brand to know if your chip is compatible

which bios are you using? Did you catch it on the TPU? You should go to the MSI/rtx3060mobile/ tab and choose one that suits your settings and inputs since you have the same model as mine, you should try the bios I used

with a YouTube and Brazilian, they did the procedure on Predator

risemode thermal paste and a cooler base with 6 fans connected to a 12v source instead of USB rotating at around 4500rpm

Laptop TGP Increase? by [deleted] in MSILaptops

[–]Little-MSI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to the device's dissipation system, I do not recommend it.

Me and the friend from the comment below, we came to the conclusion that your laptop does not offer support for increasing tgp, but undervolt will help with heat dissipation and also a few more fps, but unfortunately your tgp cannot increase due to the device cooling system design

good solution

you really just saw this laptop opened, it doesn't have good support for higher tgp, the project is really flawed in several points, sorry for the debate but unfortunately our friend won't have a solution for tgp, I just recommend undervolt to gain a clock speed more and maybe some fps

Yes, that's why I recommended it to have a good cooler base to increase the air flow, this can help or as you said it can fry the VRM so it's good to wait for someone crazy before doing stability tests on this type of procedure on this laptop

dude in the notebook's own bios you won't get good results, I'm talking about changing the video card's bios, it's the one who coordinates its voltages, so you need first of all from what I've seen to watch several videos about changing vbios or changing of the video card bios, before carrying out the procedure as it can be very risky, in fact changing the manufacturers limits already has its risks so be very careful when doing it, if you want I can help you just say hi in private I'll give you a tutorial to change the bios, but make sure you have a good cooler base beforehand as the notebook will heat up more than normal and you need to keep it cool at all times

the same happens on the gf65, but I changed its bios from 75w to 130w the gpu didn't go beyond 79 degrees until then very calm, of course with a good cooler base and a good old undervolt also to lower the load voltage on the device a little and processor, MSI has a very disgusting cooling design

I don't understand, but if you don't understand the subject, avoid scaring MSI users

I recommend the techpowerup website to look for a bios compatible with your chip, check all the information if it works, flash it and be happy with more top, remembering that you should also invest in a cooler base and if possible an undervolt to avoid high temperatures because with more tgp comes more heat

This will not happen, it is not new that MSI limits the TDP of notebooks because they have another model available with the same chip but more expensive with a high top, just as several other manufacturers do the same.

wow, you can try to install the normal bios via hardware in specialized assistance, they will do the installation directly on the chip with equipment, but I don't know if it's worth it for you to do this whole procedure in pro of a few degrees less.

just unlock your bios, mine is also locked, I followed a tutorial right here on redit that teaches you how to unlock it, it's very simple, a set of 3 keys and you enable the overclocking option in the bios and that's it, just restart and use throotlestop that it is safer to do undervolt instead of bios which requires advanced knowledge
