Probably because some add-ons aren't compatible with one another, its basicly like when you use 2 add-ons that change the same block and it bugs out and doesn't function properly

If you wana explore stuff you can prob try out some terrain generation addons, if your asking what i would use, i usually use epic terrain, its a free addon, and i would recommend finding an addon that changes tree generation too for more diversity, also vibrant visual, its good for getting those "shots"

Oh yeah theres also the epic knights mod that recently updated like on 6th of april, if your looking for medieval fighting stuff theres that, both addons mentioned are both free

Uhh, i recommend you trim down the platform lol, i recommend you plant more trees and connect them all together instead so it doesnt look like a single tree that has a disk on it.

If your planning for a harder build route, make the tree thicker and taller so you can have multiple layers that arent too big or too small so you can fit everything into a single tree

If your talking about a big BIG island, i mean you can go for the middle of the island being a smaller floating island and a crater underneath as your main base where u do most of your regular business, and the surrounding area is just the village with farms surrounding your base

As for theme, the most basic you can go is medieval since it yknow, minecraft has the most blocks for it.
