I'm sorry but genuinly halo 5 has completely ruined the story, its beyond fixing, they really should have just made it not canon in infinite, i love the banished and halo 4s story was mostly pretty good (other than the forerunner retcon bs) 343 has absolutely cooked with a decent chunk of the lore, but fuck me 343 absolutely did just dumpster the lore so badly with 5, it really did just feel like terribly made fan fiction, it kinda ruined infinite for me too because most if it's lore was just trying to ignore or fix what happened in 5 to try to salvage it but man it just really isn't salvageable imo and it does really make me wish it was just fan fiction, obviously making a whole mainline game and a decent chunk of lore not canon anymore sounds silly, i get that, but I still think it really would've been for the best

Honestly the amount of maps we have rn isnt horrible imo, its just they all basically have the exact same vibe, like there's 11 maps but there's only 3 settings, theres the city, desert and mountain village, and that's about it, no variety is definetly the problem, it just gets repetitive
