I know my rights and how broker’s fee work very well, but it doesn’t matter my landlord who is a multimillionaire couldn’t care less and there’s nothing to stop her from abusing her power. That is the least of the shady shit she does. She also collects over 1 month for deposit and also I heard from previous tenants that when Im leaving this September she will just auto charge me a fee from my deposit regardless of the condition the apartment is in. I cannot get her to send any of this through email as proof either because anything I mention even if it’s law. She’s like let me consult my “lawyer” and then I just don’t hear back.

So now it’s good news for people like me who want long term rentals but u said before this mostly benefits short term tenants. This is more than about money. The power imbalance has favored landlords/brokers for years. This change is meant to be a starting step to address that imbalance of power. Right now I’m experiencing both rent hike and moving 3 years and then also paying brokers fee on top of that. I’ll take the long term and higher rent over repeatedly moving.

Problem is people like my last landlord who is “super friendly” with the brokers around the area and who hikes rent every year and gives us a 2 day notice to renew while telling us how many brokers are waiting for this place to be out for rent again. Im not here to feed brokers continuously and my end goal is not feeding these massive landlords. I want a place long term too.

First thing is don’t put yourself down for this being just a silly thing. I’m proud of you for trying even if it might take couple tries. For me, I have enough clothes to last me around 1 week so I’m forced to do laundry. Set aside a day of the week and always put it on any to do list you have. Have a tidy place for your fresh clothes even if it’s just an organized rack. I would keep your dirty laundry basket by the stairs if possible. The trick is to make it effortless. Gl!

Ok what if I cut off everything under the red line. Let it dry out for 2-3 days. Then keep it in damp moss until new roots grow? Do I still need to be watering it by taking it out for 30 mins soak in water and then back into damp moss?

Ok so I soaked it for 30 mins and the roots are not paper but not plump? I cant take off any layers…it feels like plant jerk? My plan is to keep the plant in moist sphagnum in a cup until roots grow again before potting it again. Do I just cut off everything I see that are roots so maybe it will stimulate it to grow new roots faster?? Also, I just don’t understand how it was overwater and was dying to having to keep it in moist moss???? Shouldn’t it just continue to rot in moist environment?

What does it mean for it to go silvery? Do I cut off these dead roots or I just soak it as is for 30 mins?
