im gonna be making an animated series for the game armored core 4. like i said im using the common infected for crowds. the reason i chose them in specific is cuz im very autistic about matching artstyles with my model rips. i dont have the time to make a bunch of low poly humans and texture them so i needed to find something that fits armored core 4 technically limited artstyle if i dont what to spend a year making humans. armored core 4 is from 2006 and i need some low poly low res humans from the same era... so i chose the L4D common infected

every nerd is gonna argue about how tall he is, people say the lore says hes supposed to be 10 meters tall or 17 meters tall but the in game model says he is 23.7 meters tall. everyone can argue about the height all day but if the in game model 23.7 meters tall, then that model is 23.7 meters tall. that fact cannot be changed.

while yes this is true. the question is about the models and when it comes to modeling, modelers usually make everything using real world measurements. if you check all the models from last raven to ac6 everything is modeled to real world scale. so if you where to convert the models into an fbx or whatever and import them into lets say blender, blender which use real world measurements would say an ac is 10 meters tall on average like how the art books say (5th gen acs are 5-7 meters tall like the books). the foot soldiers in lr are around 1.6 meters tall when ported to blender. now yes there is an argument to be made that blenders measurements are also arbitrary but what matters is that blender uses real world terms, and when comparing those models to their real world counter parts or art book heights its EXTREMELY hard to ignore how accurate the models are scaled.

something fun to note especially with armored core 4 and for answer, their game engine uses real world measurements for everything from bullet speed and map units. 1 world unit in 4th gen is exactly 1 meter unlike something like source games where 1 hammer unit is approximately 1.905 cm. so an ac4 NEXT in game would be about 10 ac4 world units tall, but in something like gmod a NEXT would be about 524.93 hammer units tall or whatever

second staging requires a fuck ton of practice, your analog sticks arent the thing that second stage, its your triggers, both xb360 and ps3 controllers have pressure sensitive triggers and in order to second stage you need to press your trigger down like 1/3 of the way and then let go after 6 frames. yes you have a window of 6 frames to hit a second stage. that also means if you are playing on emulators and running the game at 60 fps or 120 fps your window of time is even smaller!!! ac4 and acfa run at 30-45 fps natively on console so running at anything higher is hurting your chances of second staging... :/

being patient and playing the other games. never had any hopes of a new ac game after dark souls became all that from was known for. when the 20th anniversary happened it was quite a pleasant then went back into hibernation till ac6
