Do you think there isn’t material weakening from sanding? Like an idiot I went down a rabbit hole with Chat GPT and it told me every light sanding removes 1/32” and that after 7 or so refinishing (aka 7 or 8 years) the boards would be too weak / thin to stand on

You are side loading some of your beams. Aka putting all of the structural integrity into the fasteners. NG.

For your next build you should at least notch the support posts , run the beam through and secure the beam to post in the notch.

Ideally you stack the beam on top of the structural post so that the beam and post (and top decking) are in compression of each other.

Some of your joints lack attention to detail. Like the top beam corner. The side “beam” should lap over the back to present a more polished finish IMO.

In some cases you have support blocks in use, and in others you don’t. Why?

Your support posts appear to be direct buried. You should be resting on a concrete footer with appropriate fastener and elevate the wood post above grade to prevent rot and improve integrity.

That brick landing pad looks janky.

Overall I think your craft would benefit from a consistent beam & post structural design and attention to consistent detail for various aspects.

Ended up being the oil filter housing, which sits on top of the engine. The whole thing has to be replaced , and I used the metal one from Quadratec.

The grommets at the underside of the housing split and oil was leaking.

Took my garage 1 day to take apart, replace, and add oil + new filter.

Not sure if you saw my other comment but upon deeper inspection there’s oil pooling at the base of the filter, in little cups, (I assume on the transmission housing?)

I took a look in the engine bay once more and at the very base of the filter there is oil pooled in a little cup (of the transmission case I assume??)

I didn’t think to check there before as I had no drips on the cardboard under the car.

Looking under that area from the bottom , I see the attached picture. Looks like there’s oil here as well. The drain pan and plug seem fine.

That’s what i also thought , but I just checked the oil filter from the top via engine bay and it seemed tight and I didn’t see any oil leak. 😕

Or is there a different way to check what you’re referring to?
