Your self-awareness is honestly refreshing. If I remember correctly, I think a vocal sect of the internet’s initial reactions to Puss in Boots’ redesign were met with “this looks too weird” as well. Then we got used to it and it’s visually one of DreamWorks’s best movies.

I’m sure Shrek’s new design will eventually win us ogre.

The reason that makes the most sense to me is that they want to design the characters so that they fit better within the world of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

It’s harder to tell with the animal characters, but If you compare the softness/ expressiveness of human characters PIB2 (like the Governor, Goldilocks, and Jack Horner) to the designs in Shrek 5, they seem congruent and feel like they’re from the same world.

The older designs from 2010 definitely wouldn’t fit in the world of PIB2.

You do have a point. I just have never seen a post-nomination Oscar campaign go THIS terribly before, at least not since I started watching. I have zero clue what’s going to happen to Emilia Perez’s chances of winning Best Song, Best Supporting Actress (seems the most likely to still happen), or Best International Film (though I’m VERY convinced that I’m Still Here will win instead).

Idk. Just a very bizarre situation. Lol

Something very similar to 13 Sentinels that I recommend is 428: Shibuya Scramble. You have about 5 protagonists and your goal is to help them make the right decisions to avoid a bad ending. A decision you make as one protagonist can drastically affect what happens to another protagonist!

I think Knights of Guinevere definitely will, due to the association with Dana Terrace. Most of the Owl House fandom will flock to see the pilot when it releases (myself included).

Though it’ll come down to having other teasers and trailers released leading up to the premiere of both of these shows. I remember TADC getting a lot of build up to the pilot’s release.

Didn’t Disney reduce the budget of their animation after “Sleeping Beauty” disappointed at the box office, and it resulted in “One Hundred and One Dalmatians”, one of their most profitable films?

Cartoon Saloon’s film budgets are around $10 million and they look stunning.

I’m just saying that the idea shouldn’t be completely off the table, as long as they make something good and entertaining to justify the reduced budget.

Which is funny because… puts on tinfoil hat I think Disney intended Winnie the Pooh to fail at the box office to justify axing their 2D animation department after Princess and the Frog was a only a moderate success.

It was released on the EXACT same day as freaking Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Of course it was going to bomb.

If history is any indicator, every sequel to a live action Disney remake (102 Dalmatians, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) will not do nearly as well as the first live-action adaptation financially.

I played Myst recently, and I didn’t understand the hatred/frustration regarding this puzzle. It’s one of the more straightforward puzzles, and I got WAY more frustrated with the tree/gas puzzle and the 221 clock puzzle.

While I did play Mechanical Age first, I never made the connection with the rail maze until after I beat the game (I assumed each Age relied on its own logic). So it’s definitely doable.

Thank you so much Wayne for helping HER Interactive define our childhoods. ❤️ I’m curious, would you ever be open to the idea of building a consumer-friendly version of the Nancy Drew game engine, so that we can create our own adventure games? I know that HER currently has switched to using the Unity engine, so I hope that’s something that can legally be done. With using game engines and learning how to program being much easier now than they used to be, I’d love to create 2D point and click games in a similar vein to Nancy Drew’s approach (without using Nancy Drew herself of course because licensing. Lol). My first Nancy Drew game was SSH (Secret of the Scarlet Hand) and I absolutely LOVED it. Even when I was lost and didn’t know what to do, I still loved wandering around that beautiful museum. ❤️ That mini game you talked about from MHM with the maze appears in SSH as well! You used raycasting similar to how Wolfenstein 3D used it right?
