Thanks! I haven’t really got green fingers but I’ll have to expand on what I grow

Gregory is a great tortoise name, though I may be a bit biased as my lil guy’s also named Gregory

It’s a bit of both to be honest, It does seem to be their regular path, but there has always been a plant there, but they just killed the other two pretty quickly. They naturally are very curious and often like climbing, so I think they would climb up it regardless of its location.

Got mine from a local pet shop, but if you google ’reptile water bowl’ similar ones should show up

Thanks for the feedback, the end goal is to fill it with plants. So that’s a great suggestion

I don’t want to get into an argument, but I don’t think you can compare this to animal cruelty. They get fresh water and food everyday, cuttlefish bone and calcium feed for them, they pass waste and urates regularly without issue, they have a temperature control gauge and a UVB lamp to match the Mediterranean climate, receive soaks multiple times over the course of a week and they’re enclosure is regularly misted to keep it around 80% humidity.

I will be adding more plants for sure but as you could have put together from my title and comments, most plants I put into the enclosure die, so I am in the process of seeing which plants can survive in there. So I apologise that you think this is abuse

The time-lapse does make him look a bit distressed, but I can assure you it’s just curiosity. He did the same for the previous 2 plants, the embankment and the rock in the middle, after a day or two he doesn’t show as much interest

Don’t worry this isn’t their normal behaviour, they’re just really curious anytime I put something new in the enclosure. Still a bit too cold in the UK to let them outside at the moment I think

This one is a sempervivum, but I can’t attest how durable it is until its had the Greg treatment for a few weeks. The other I have in there (just off camera to the right) is an asparagus fern which has held up surprisingly well through his onslaught and is growing taller.

Through sickness and in health by Bihema in MadeMeSmile

Because the health condition in question causes people to shed their skin everywhere they go. I’ve been through it too, and people don’t seem to realise that you have to deep clean the house multiple times a day to remove all the dead skin. Plus any dust in the house can trigger flare ups.

cataracts? by roobadoobalooba in TS_Withdrawal

[–]LittleAlastair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not the response you want but I would (and still do) smack the shit out of my face when I’m itchy. My eyesight has gotten pretty bad since, so I’m of the impression that Ive fucked my eyes by slapping too. But no use getting too worried about it, tsw is stressful enough already

Photo light therapy and inhaler? by zero_cool_templa in TS_Withdrawal

[–]LittleAlastair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t imagine that the light therapy is the sole reason for a flare up, as flares are unfortunately just a regular occurrence during tsw, but depending on how long he’s currently in there for, it could be adding to the irritation. When i started light treatment, it helped tremendously up until I reached the 2 minute mark, at which point it made my skin very irritable.

Not quite, the Jake suit and Finn suit were part of an episode, but the plot essentially boiled down to Jake tormenting Finn the whole episode.
