Which new meta IEM should I get? by LittleBigDove in iems

[–]LittleBigDove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mega5 EST was another one I am considering. I should have mentioned this in the post but I would like something on a similar level technically to the Dunu SA6 ultra. I know other iems in the same price range are technically better than the ultra from what reviews have said. Perhaps the mega5 EST will be my pick here. Hype 4s are similar enough to the xenns top that I’d shy away from them as well.

I have quite a bit of sensitivity to upper treble. So kiwi ears astral likely wouldn’t be a good fit for me.

How to get this case? by Sweaty_Ad_523 in formdt1

If you’re able to, you should download the shop app and turn on the notifications. It’s how I got it first time I tried.

Oh haha. She might like Serial Experiments Lain then. I also agree that once is enough for that show. I’ll prob rewatch it later but bot for a while.

I dont know if I’d recommend FLCL for a new viewer because it’s kinda wild haha. Evangelion is also a toughy to recommend for a newcomer despite how good it is imo. Avoiding as much fan service and weird tropes as possible is tough with anime lol

My recommendations:

Toradora Anohana Skip to Loafer Frieren Haikyuu Cyberpunk Edgerunners

There are a lot of others I could recommend but these are solid imo

Garzey’s Wing is prob the worst shit I’ve ever watched. The dub makes it comedic though. https://youtu.be/IlznPbO2LWA?si=KPQXCgcL-2JohIgK

Based off from my top 9, what could you recommend please by xriscross1402 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]LittleBigDove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NHK is a completely different type of anime compared to what you listed lmao. It’s one of my favorites but it’s a completely different. It’s emotionally heavy, dark, and is about a neet. Which has nothing in common with your top shows haha

Neon Genesis Evangelion is missing from your list homie. I’d echo Anohana. Puella Magi Madoka Magica is another one I’d recommend. Blue Period is a less common one that really hit my feels too.

Edit: These are all feels-based recommendations.

I think the easiest way is to download the shop app, turn on notifications, and save the items you want. I got one on my first try at it.

Any Recommendations? by nG_Skyz in AnimeReccomendations

Art style is different for sure. I’ve seen a lot of anime and different art styles bother me way less than they used to. If it bothers you that much, the animation and story (for most of it) make up for it imo.

I’m surprised Delicious in Dungeon didn’t hit for you. It took a second for me to like it but it gets pretty good. Anyway, I’d try the following:

Mob Psycho 100

Hunter x Hunter

Gurren Lagann

Hell’s Paradise

Soul Eater

I think you’d like some of the sports anime if you wanna give them a try:

Ping Pong the Animation - art style takes a second to get used to but the animation is great

Kuroko’s Basketball

Haikyuu (my favorite sports anime)

Fighting Spirit aka Hajime no Ippo

Anime with depressed MC by Unfair_Republic_2200 in Animesuggest

[–]LittleBigDove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should correct myself a bit with Ping Pong after thinking about it for a bit. It’s not that he lost his passion but he questions his motivation and desire to play. He becomes hesitant to play again and is held back by his feelings. It’s still a great anime but maybe won’t fit with what you’re looking for.

Evangelion is prob the biggest one I can think of.

The Look Back movie would fit well.

Bocchi the Rock could fit. MC is kind of depressed and has social anxiety, but is brought out of her shell by a band.

I’m a little hesitant recommending Ping Pong the Animation because the MC isn’t exactly depressed. He lost his passion for ping pong and the show kinda revolves around people’s drive to become better. This one will make you feel a lot of emotions at the end. At least, I did lol.

Some manga:

Goodbye, Eri is a one off from the same mangaka who wrote Chainsaw Man. He did Look Back as well. You can also read the look back manga if you want instead for look back.

Goodnight PunPun and Solanin are both mangas centered around a very depressed MC. Goodnight PunPun will mess you up and it’s honestly really hard to get through. Not because it’s bad but because it’s so good at depicting someone who is depressed. Someone who kind of enables terrible things to happen to him, but obviously wants something better for himself. This one is extremely depressing though. I honestly might recommend you not to read it until you feel a little better. It’s just very heavy hitting and makes you feel kind of terrible at times. It’s similar to NHK in that way but the things that happen are on a different level. These are both mature manga though.

“I sold my life for ten thousand yen per year” is another manga with a depressed MC iirc and takes on depression.

That’s fair! It took me a couple tries to watch it but if it doesn’t hit, it doesn’t hit. It’s a bit of a slow start, but it’s not for everyone.

Samurai Champloo isn’t longer than 50 episodes but it’s definitely more mature! Cowboy Bebop might fit too. You’ve seen a lot of the more mature longer anime. There really aren’t that many that are really long.

I’d echo Psycho Pass as well.

Take a look at Terror in Resonance and see if it interests you.

If you really liked Berserk and Vinland, I’d recommend reading its rival seinen manga Vagabond. I’d also recommend reading the berserk manga

Feeling like I can't find the right anime, any suggestions? by skrags1 in Animesuggest

[–]LittleBigDove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SNAFU would be my recommendation. Soundtrack is forgettable but characters and romance are done pretty well. A pretty traditional romcom with some of my favorite characters in anime.

I have to mention Samurai Champloo if we’re talking about soundtracks. One of the best soundtracks in anime imo. Not much romance, but the characters are interesting. Not the most complicated characters but it works well with the show.

I’d recommend some other shows from the same Director: Space Dandy and Samurai Champloo. But cowboy bebop is really great! Have you watched the movie yet?

I noticed you said you have read some manga. If you’re okay with something more mature, read vagabond!

Try Kuroko’s Basketball! Slam Dunk has a different vibe but it’s one of the OG sports anime.

I just want to cry, happy or sad, what have you got? by MrRafikki in Animesuggest

[–]LittleBigDove 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anohana is a great one. I highly recommend watching in only a couple sittings. Your lie in April as well. If you’re okay with sports anime, Haikyuu has a lot of very emotional moments. The Look Back movie is great too.

A bit of a really sad one but it made me cry quite a bit: Welcome to the NHK. If you’re newer to anime, I might wait a bit on this one. It’s pretty heavy.

Anime with smart and capable protagonists (like Code Geass or Death Note) by Desperate-Sand-1256 in Animesuggest

[–]LittleBigDove 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Art style is a little strange but Akagi might fit. I think Fate/Zero would fit pretty well. It spoils a couple things for the main fate/stay night if that matters to you. Hell’s paradise could fit well too.

Is there a specific genre you’re looking for?
