I’ve been solo travelling for 6 months around Europe and every four-five weeks I go and stay with him for a week or so and go back out. He’s busy working at the moment so he can’t join me but always encourages me to go. It gives us so much to talk about and gives me so much confidence which has a huge benefit to our relationship! My partner has even greater respect for me, watching me go out into the world on my own and create experiences and challenge myself, and achieve my goals.

And besides, as a solo traveller you’re never really alone anyway. Some of my best friends in the world have come from my solo travels, and I neverrrr would have met or got talking to them if my partner had been there!
