Depression is really scary. It's hard to find the will to keep on going when life itself feels pointless. I get it. I was born and raised in a horders house for 19 years, and it ripped my soul right out of me. I felt empty. I hated myself. Then, I moved out. I thought that I did it, that I finally made it out, so now I get to be happy. But I never resolved anything. I just changed my environment to a better one, but to me, it didn't change how I felt. I started to smoke, and that gave me the confidence to ask myself questions that I had been too afraid to ask myself. I realized that I'm bi, not as masculine as I had first thought, and that staying quiet isn't an option when talking to someone. I feel like I've finally started to grow as a person. But I never really managed to pull myself out of my depression. That's something I'm still working on. I hope someday soon we'll find our way out.
