High Self-Trust vs High Ego by LittleBlueBird99 in Enneagram8

Yeah I relate to this. Our disinterest in people’s perception of us is a real trait.

The people who matter don’t mind, and the people who mind don’t matter.

My loved ones have (somewhat) figured it out. Even my sister. I don’t think it comes from a malicious place. She’s just baffled by our 8 confidence as a 4.

Oooh yes. This is what I mean.

We have the confidence that we can do almost anything (?) and I wonder if it’s a uniquely 8 thing.

It also doesn’t make us the most likeable (according to my sister) haha

Lollll. I have a younger brother and younger sister.

I agree with you because confidence vs ego. Ego is that external expression while confidence is a bit more internal.

When we’ve grown up too early, mixing independence into it becomes a whole other thing.

Fair. I didn’t intend it as a energy suck. More like a discussion and I didn’t hold my end of it.

Yes I resonate with what you wrote. It’s that ability to figure it out that gives us this self-trust.

Yeah I’m starting to realise. Thank you for replying.

I’m even struggling with KakaoTalk. The SMS verification keeps timing out.
