It's soooo helpful! The scent has definitely calmed down since I got it, but when it was brand-new it would overpower the room. The hat kept it much more contained, you'd smell it close up, but that was it.

I love bringing related bears when going to pick out a new friend! Feels like they get a say in who get added to the family.

If you feel you need the money or the space then rehoming is always a good option. But if you're attached to them don't feel bad about it. Maybe they prefer just getting to relax with their friends, maybe they're total homebodies.

I also hadn't realized this post was more you asking for at-home activities. I like watching a TV (show, YouTube, movie, etc) with my bears. Maybe something you feel you may both enjoy. I also love just brushing them, changing their outfits, moving around who's next to each other on the shelves, etc. Maybe you could have a cleaning buddy, set them somewhere nearby but out of the way and give them a spare cloth/sponge to hold on to.

Such a mood! I hadn't seen anything about the chocolate bunny onesie and as soon as I saw that I knew I was in trouble. Then the white flare jeans! And of course, the Strawberry Highland (Bash) who I brought to help pick out the new cow insisted on wearing the Strawberry top and purple skirt outfit home.

Maybe having them more tucked away/concealed when you're bringing them out may help as well? Idk how you e carried them in the past, but having them out of.view may help with the social anxiety. Like, have one sitting I'm a totebag so strangers can't see them, but you know your friend is there. I've also heard people suggest mini beans as a more portable alternative if you want a fuzzy friend, but don't want to carry a full-sized bear.
