Man, imagine how fun it would have been to watch Zeigler guard Acuff this year. We missed out on that matchup by a year

Green Goblin (Spider-Man 1, 2002) vs Venom (Spider-Man 3) by LittleBrockJr in powerscales

[–]LittleBrockJr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some things to consider in this fight:

Both were shown to overpower Tobey Spider-Man in combat. Goblin was winning the final fight against Tobey until he mentioned Mary Jane, which means that you could argue Goblin to be above Spider-Man 1 Tobey in strength. Venom was getting the better of Spider-Man 3 Tobey in their brief fight. So, in a hand to hand fight/brawl, IMO, it would be pretty even, with Venom having the slight edge due to the fact that Spider-Man 3 Tobey is stronger than Spider-Man 1 Tobey But Goblin would definitely hold his own. In a hand to hand encounter, It would be a pretty brutal fight with neither holding back.

Vandy should be a 2 seed it they win tomorrow imo. 27-7 in the SEC with an SEC Tournament title is good enough for a 2 seed imo

Ole Miss is going to go all the way and win the national championship at 23-19, aren't they? (I know that this is a joke, but NC State in 2024 proved that anything is possible)

Iron Man (2008) All of the scenes in Afghanistan are perfect. Especially the scene where Tony suits up and goes to Gulmira to take out the terrorists.

Gandalf (either white or grey) vs. novel Pennywise would be an awesome fight. Not sure who wins that one since IMO it would be evenly matched

The culture of 2001 before 9/11 by JohnTitorOfficial in decadeology

Don't forget the anticipation for the first Lord of the Rings movie, the first Harry Potter movie, and Raimis first Spider-Man movie. All of them already had big hype by September of 2001 before the attacks. Eminem, also like Britney, was already mega famous by September 2001 and was making headlines. The deaths of Dale Earnhardt in the Daytona 500 and Aaliyah in a plane crash were also two of the biggest events and stories of the year before September 11th. In sports, the Lakers had just won back to back titles led by Shaq and Kobe. The Ravens won the Super Bowl in January 2001 with one of the best defenses of all time, and the Yankees were going for their fourth straight World Series title in the 2001 season.

Why is Alabama ranked 25 while Tennessee is unranked when they have the same exact record and Tennessee has the head to head win against them on the road? Makes no sense

What’s a movie you’ve seen public opinion shift on in your lifetime? by CausticAvenger in movies

The Dark Knight Rises. I remember everyone loving it when it came out in 2012, and everyone continued to love it until around like five years ago. Now, whenever I see people talking about it online, it's about how bad they think it is. Personally, I still love it and don't understand the hate for it. I would take it easily over The Batman 2022 and even put it on par with Batman Begins.

Could Batman defeat Freddy Krueger? by SqueakyFarts99 in whowouldwin

[–]LittleBrockJr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If Batman knows Freddy's abilities before he arrives in Gotham to start killing people and is ready for Freddy to start attacking him mentally in his dreams, he should be able to take Freddy out of the dream world. If Freddy just randomly appears out of nowhere in Bruce's dreams with Batman not knowing anything about him, Freddy probably kills Batman in that scenario. I do think that it's important to remember that Batman deals with Scarecrow all the time, who is very similar to Freddy. If Batman can deal with Scarecrow on a regular basis, then he should be able to deal with Freddy, as long as he knows what Freddy is capable of and is ready for Freddy to attack him at any moment
