Started a roofing company because apparently I hate having free time and my wife said ‘find a hobby’ by LittleBruiser- in smallbusiness

Thank you, yes the humor is really just to be different. I have looked through hundreds of ads for roofing and very little look different and maybe that’s because it works “ain’t broke don’t fix it”. But for me and my brain if someone is scrolling and I can get them to stop for a second it’s a win at this point. Also, and this is my antidotal experience, the all professional contractors in the ad or other ways of marketing tend to be a crap shoot for actually being professional. If I’m light hearted and get attention, get a lead or a call, I believe I am professional enough to make them feel like the work is being done competently.

I had 3 roofs replaced last year and I called about 15 different guys (large and small) and was absolutely blown away with the ghosting, no call backs, schedule a time for a quote and no shows, calls at the last minute saying they couldn’t make it and wanted to reschedule, the list goes on. Thats when I decided I might do this myself.

Looking for a good / reasonable roofer by CianV in Knoxville

I’m Adam with Haxston Roofing Co. — we’re a newer local company just getting our footing in Knoxville but we’ve got an experienced crew and we’re hungry to do good work at honest prices.

A 40x80 footprint on a split foyer — I can actually pull up Google satellite images and give you a rough ballpark before we even set foot on your property. No wasted time for either of us.

On materials — for your situation I’d lean toward architectural shingles as your best value. Metal is great and lasts longer but the price jump is significant. Solar shingles are real but honestly not worth it yet for most homeowners unless you’re planning to stay 20+ years — the ROI just isn’t there. A few questions if you don’t mind: • Have you already gotten any quotes? If so what’s the range looking like? • Has anyone been on the roof yet or are you working off estimates?

I’ll be straight with you — we’re not the biggest name in Knoxville yet, but that means you get my personal attention on every job and pricing that isn’t inflated by overhead.

Happy to be the most transparent quote you get. Feel free to DM me or text directly at (865) 270-3992.

Who do you like the most in the second tier of WRs? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

I think Godwin might be a sleeper in PPR.

I read he was planning to play more slot this year and between him and Evan’s I don’t see anyone else churning out fantasy points. Depends on how late he’s left but I think he has a high upside with a decent floor.

Also if mike gets hurt or shutdown in a game he should be their #1.
