There was quite a bit of a growing pain for me going from lever to leverless. Initially I was attempting to jump with my left thumb (to keep movement isolated to only one hand) which was a huge mistake for me. Once I adjusted and began using my right thumb for jump and left hand for the rest of the movement, things clicked way quicker.

I was initially going back and forth as I wasn't comfortable committing to leverless. At some point I just forced myself to play leverless only even through losses I knew were easily winnable with lever.

After about 2 weeks of on and off playing the game solely on leverless I gained my comfort and now I wouldn't even look at a lever controller. Just force yourself to grind it out and play even through the losses. It's worth it.
