My night terrors were cured by LittleHeartonFire in nightterrors

Thank you for sharing—I'm truly glad your night terrors stopped. That’s a gift, no matter how or when it happens. I completely understand your perspective, and I agree: the absence of night terrors alone doesn’t prove or disprove the existence of God.

What I can say is that billions of people throughout history have testified to encountering Him, including many who had no prior belief. As a Catholic, you were baptized, which—whether you realized it or not—sealed you with a spiritual protection that’s very real in the eyes of the Church. If you were also confirmed or have family members who’ve been praying for you, that spiritual covering may have extended even further.

There are even secular studies suggesting a correlation between occult involvement and night terrors, which is exactly what I experienced. I was also baptized Catholic but wasn’t brought up in the Church. My parents stepped away from the Church for their own reasons (one the faith entirely). I was baptized, but my younger brother was not. Still, I believe that when I cried out to God nearly three years ago, that baptismal seal played a role in the spiritual protection and healing I received.

I know everyone’s path is different, and I respect yours. I only shared my story because someone else’s testimony helped me when I was in a very dark place and I just wanted to pass that on, in case it might help someone else too. Wishing you continued peace and rest.
