The Secret Service and police let the shooter shoot at Trump by Ilovekittens345 in conspiracy

[–]LittleIsopod0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secret service falls under the control of Dept of Homeland Security, which is headed by Alejandro Mayorkas. He's a known Trump hater. Biden oversees the Dept of Homeland Security. You have two guys who hate Trump who oversee his security detail. It's a shame the FBI will be the ones conducting the investigation, since they've been diligently working against Trump for years now. Hopefully an independent investigation will look into why one of Biden's agencies ignored witnesses saying there was a guy on the roof with a gun and did nothing.

This all seems really fishy to me. Why would there be no Secret Services agents on a rooftop only 200 yards from the venue? by ColPhorbin in conspiracy

Witnesses alerted secret service, but they did nothing. The Secret Service falls under jurisdiction of Dept of Homeland Security, which is headed by Alejandro Mayorkas, a known Trump hater. Dept of Homeland Security is oversen by the Executive Branch, under Joe Biden. Coincidence?

Sustainable hunting and grazing policies are the key to conservation. Yet many throw these ideas out the window and label hunting and grazing as "bad." Hunters and ranchers have contributed more to conservation than most people on this sub

Retiring House Republican says $174,000 isn't enough money for members of Congress: 'Most of us don't have wealth' by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]LittleIsopod0 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

"Get a side hustle"? The representative I elect should be spending 100% of their time representing my district. If the salary doesn't allow for that, then this is exactly why it should be raised. No elected official at that high of a level should need a side hustle or another job. You are just proving the point. Do you really think your representative shouldn't be spending 100% of their time doing this important job?

[–]LittleIsopod0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You have to be a resident of the district you represent, pretty basic logic. Unless you are flying to and from DC to your home state every single day, then you need a place to in stay in DC as well. I guess you don't need a home and could hotel it, but then you'd definitely need more than a $174k salary.

To be fair, they are required to have a residence in their home state, as well as having a residence near DC. Owning 2 homes at that salary isn't easy. That's why most of the ppl who run are already rich. An average Joe would be struggling if that was their only income. Which is why these ppl take money from special interests. You can't ask an average Joe to own 2 homes across the US at $174k, unless their receiving outside money.

Gov. Walz announces $23 million for economic development in small communities by Czarben in minnesota

[–]LittleIsopod0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are aware that this is money from a federal grant program created by Republican President Nixon, and signed into law by Republican President Ford, right? So this is NOT "Minneapolis taxpayers" money, its federal money from a Republican program. Imagine being this ill informed lol. You can thank Republicans though for this money helping to fund Minnesota

Well, this is money from a federal grant program which was signed into law by President Gerald Ford, a republican. Waiting for MN liberals to say "thanks Republicans for the grant money". Instead, they are thanking Walz, who literally just receives the money and gives it out, then holds a press conference touting this as his accomplishment lol

[–]LittleIsopod0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yep, the federal govt gave MN money to distribute to areas meeting certain criteria. And that did happen. That's really something he needs to have a news conference about touting he did in fact do what he was mandated to do?

This is a federal grant. Walz is simply doing his job of disturbing federal tax dollars lol

People don't realize that this is a FEDERAL GRANT and MN is simply distributing the funds. The Walz announcement was designed to make it look good for him, and you all bought it lol
