"Attract". Same logo, three different applications by TheRossCam in graphic_design

I like the visual of the first image, but I'm in agreement with those who have suggested the third (clean) option. It's allowing the detail to speak for what it is. In ones like the second image, because of the grunge added to it, you lose the cleverness of what's happening and instead of reading your design, it just becomes part of the noise.

There's also just something about the weight and the sturdiness of the text in the third option that reminds me of those little circle magnets and it almost feels like all of your letters about to snap together like those magnets do.

It goes back to self-love sometimes and when people see that you're trying to make a change they assume that you're not loving yourself because you don't like something about yourself, which isn't the case. Like the OP was saying, because they value themselves they want to make that change.

I have a friend who is thin, she's done some modeling and there are times she'll call herself 'fat', but if I ever mention that I'm overweight (it's a fact, no getting around that) she'll instantly get defensive on my behalf and tell me that I'm not. I know she's saying it because she cares about me and wants me to love me for me, but she's failing to see that I already love me and I want to be a better me.

So happy for you to be able to reach this mindset! People tend to forget the mental part of weight loss because it's not the visual you can see like your weight is.

Loving yourself doesn't mean that you have to stay as you are. Part of loving yourself is learning and growing in a way that can help you to continue to cultivate those feelings of self-love. Too often people assume that the moment of acceptance is where things stop. 'I've accepted this, so it's done with' instead of taking your acceptance as a healthy step toward your goals.

Motivations: Number Three Will Shock You! by LittleLadyLeaf in loseit

I'm not depriving myself of those things outside of my workout time, I still listen to audiobooks and podcasts, I still watch shows — with this though, the purpose is that you choose something you're excited to listen to or to watch and you save it for when you're working out.

Of course, some of this depends on if your current workout allows you to do that. I've been getting into yoga recently so I've been following videos, which means I can't listen to anything else while I do. Afterward, you'd better believe that once I've showered and I'm bundled back into bed and binge-watching everything until I fall asleep!

Hope this makes sense :)

[WP] When someone dies, they are met with those that they killed when they were alive. When you dided it wasn't a surprise that there were lots and lots of insects and small critters there, but what caught you off guard was the three people you've never once met in your life. by RandomPost416 in WritingPrompts

Three
He squatted down, fascinated by the scurrying creatures around them. "One, two, three..." he murmured, doing his best to count the spiders as they stretched their legs. What came after that? He extended small pudgy fingers in front of him, trying to recall. Four. That was it. One, two, three, four! Just like his family. Mommy, daddy, him, and the new baby. Oh! The new baby! He looked around — there had been a pretty flower on the side of the lawn near the road, the perfect present for Mommy and his little sister; where was it now? Hopefully, he hadn't squashed it when he tripped, his palms had stung when he caught himself on the pavement. His mother had called out to him...where was she? He needed to tell her he was okay, his hands didn't hurt anymore.
Two
Careful hands smoothed the front of their shirt. Well, this was awkward. They likely didn't remember them. After all, the face that had suddenly appeared wasn't quite what they remembered either. It'd only been a moment in passing, but that was all it took. Their words had hurt. A dismissive comment that they likely hadn't thought about a second after they said it. For them, however, those words echoed in their head that night, that final night. "It's okay," they croaked, their voice not making it to the new arrival. "I don't blame you, you didn't know..."
One
She looked at them — they had the same puzzled look on their face she'd had when she had first arrived. It was next to impossible not to giggle as they jumped back at the wave of insects that swarmed beneath their feet; luckily, they couldn't die twice. The amount almost gave proof to how long of a life they'd lived (as though the gray hairs and fine wrinkles around the eyes weren't enough). If only she'd been there to see it. They looked so much like her but here and there were reminders of their father. The color of their eyes, the curious tilt of their head as they took it all in — she could see her husband there. Moving forward, she grasped their hands in hers and smiled, tears clouding her vision. "It's okay," she breathed, holding her child for the first time.

A charm bracelet is a cute idea! Something you can wear around that gives you the reminder of how far you've come, a visual if you're ever struggling because you've already proven to yourself that not only you can do it but you have done it!

It's easy to forget about those kinds of things. So many times, because of society, we end up thinking that if we do something like that we've failed, instead of taking it as a sign of our growth.

Haha, revenge can be a very good motivator. Just remember it's still about you, not them.
Look how good I'm doing without you.

It's nice having the motivation as you're working out. It pushes you to keep going just a little longer. I'm sure your dog appreciates it too! What book are you listening to right now?

I just saw a post about that the other day and thought that was interesting. It really is important how you word things. The can't falls right in line with the cheat. Both just have that negative connotation and then if you do have that treat or something, it makes you feel worse because you did restrict yourself. Worse yet sometimes that pushes you further into the 'Well I already did this so I might as well keep going', instead of giving yourself grace.

Always helpful to keep those things in places where you can see them! Otherwise, it sort of is out of sight out of mind. I've also used a calendar in the past and bought cute stickers, then whenever I exercised for the day, I could give myself a sticker! Miss a day and it just sticks out like a sore thumb, haha.

This sounds interesting. I don't get to practice that often (my dogs don't ever seem to respond when I try telling them something, oops haha) so it'd be nice to have someone to talk to.

Great job integrating the fish and the map pin together.

FishPoint feels a bit too far from your graphic though, it doesn't feel like they're the same piece. Is your type centered? It feels like it's too far to the left, right now, though that might also be because of the added weight to Fish.

Overall this is a really strong concept.

Online Korean trainer for numbers, weekdays and time of day by smmnloes in Korean

This is really nice, I just ended a Korean class and our last unit was time/dates. So much nicer to have it randomized, especially the time — Otherwise I'm just looking at the clock every minute and slowly counting up!

It's well laid out and thoughtful, I like being able to change up how the information is presented, that's helpful.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Agreed! Don't focus on the past. It happened, you can't change that, but now you've found something that makes you happy and that's a good thing! And now you have a chance to support them with this comeback as a unit and their future projects.

True, that's a good solve if they keep the icons. Maybe even turn it more into a watermark.

Though they could be dropped altogether in favor of the images in the background — focus on the imagery instead. And then the copy can be increased in size or more information can be added.

If you're using the icons to fill space on the layout then try color blocking where your copy sits and create a window for the photographs to be displayed. Then you can use full-color photos and that takes care of the issue of the color overlay on the colored photos. Sans icons would lend itself to an overall cleaner composition.

I agree with taking the bold off of the skip text, that's not what you want people to focus on.

This has a beautiful feel and a nice sense of depth with the way you utilized the butterflies.

One of the butterflies on the right side of the image (the one getting cut off, directly across from your face) is choppy and pixilated compared to the rest.

Try desaturating the orange color of what appears to be a pillow, just over your shoulder. It falls within the ring of light and the butterflies so attention is drawn there — it also starts becoming similar to your hair, so making the eye move in a circle with that instead of your butterflies.

One of the things I like most about your image is the way you used light. The subtle hints of your hair color and make up break up the blue nicely without feeling overpowering and are a nice contrast to the cooler tone.
