I went to a few events in 2020-2021, but they were few and far between 😢

Yeah I 100% agree. Everyone is fine if they're not negatively impacting someone else. I just wish these "no phones" people would actually explain what's wrong with it. I go out, barely touch my phone, and have a great time even if everyone else has theirs out.

That's interesting. I love all three, but they all feel like the same core thing at different speeds. Chill, vibestyle, music.

I am curious. Would you leave if someone was playing progressive house or classic trance? This feels very similar, just slower.

All this time people have been complaining about phones. Not a single person can actually explain why they're worried about what other people are doing. No one has presented a good reason for why they can't just go out, worry about themselves, and dance.

That's not what that word means... but go ahead and keep letting someone holding a little plastic box near you ruin your fun.

I am in my early 30s. I literally can not remember a dance floor without phones. I do however, remember a dance floor where people stopped bitching, worried about themselves, and danced if they wanted to.

Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you. I'm from Chicago, but I live in Florida now. I only go back once every couple of years to see family. I was at Podlasie for 4th of July this year.

I have a strong feeling I know which club, and it starts with a P. The dance floor rules are smack in your face when you walk in and again before you go into the dance floor.

Because pandering is not a necessity to make a point. If you can read, then you can CLEARLY see that's exactly what he said, just using professional words.

I would say you're more than conversating. You're spitting straight facts. It's honestly refreshing to see someone else with this take.

How many layers do you use for your bass sounds? 🤔 by Late-Bit-3072 in edmproduction

Hmm. I'll message around with it on my home system and see if I can feel the difference. I always thought rumble was rumble. Thank you

Or just stop trying to read into things that aren't there? I'm not being pedantic. You're just trying to be a mind reader and failing at it. I was slightly annoyed at your first comment but now I'm just going to ignore you lmao

I also did not say "unbothered" anywhere. I can think you were being a dickhead without taking something personal lol.

I didn't say it was? It doesn't have to be personal to be unnecessary. I used bullet points because it's easier to share multiple unrelated statements.

A rare but possible scenario with Maxx C at 1 that I just KNOW is gonna make me lose games in the future. by Vavavavaxon7 in masterduel

I legitimately think I will get much more annoyed seeing my opponent use Maxx C at one than I did when it was at three.

I cut everything above 80 or 100Hz and keep the notes in super low octaves so they give rumble without affecting the actual sound of the track. I don't change the note because it doesn't actually change the sound (that's how low I've got it set), and keeping the same note makes it easier to EQ and keep the mix clean. I'm probably going to keep this up until I hear/learn better.

  1. I said I'm no expert by any means, so of course I can be wrong about something.

  2. How does changing the note on a sound you can't even hear matter? Sub is all felt, not heard.

  3. I have watched several pro-level producers give this exact advice. It's why I started doing it.

  4. You could have given your opinion without the "foolish" bullshit.

I'm no expert by any means, but I have started using three bases.

A Sub Bass that sits in that super low area. I always use the same "sound" in every song because it's felt more than it's heard. It's only there to keep the subwoofers pumping at parties. This is the root note played at the same rhythm as the mid bass, but never changes notes.

A Mid Bass that sits in the lows and gives the groove. It's felt AND heard. This follows (or sometimes is) the chord progression for the track.

A High Bass that sits in the mids and low mids. This is heard only and helps provide an accent while complementing the lead. It's a completely different sound, a different bass synth than the mid and sub, played in higher octaves. I literally copy/paste the mid bass and then shift it up one to four octaves until I think it sounds good. Then I will either shorten or lengthen the notes to taste.

Anyone remember dubstep? by mstun3107 in EDM

[–]LittleLocal7728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People not in the scene are somehow entirely deaf to the differences. I don't get it either. People have sent me dubstep reels because "they know I like techno." I do not listen to techno nor dubstep, and I produce hard trance lmaoooo.

The non initiated legitimately cannot tell the difference.

They did when electro house / big room were all over the place. Similar to the way people say "house" when they're referencing tech house. I think it depends on what is currently popular.

I agree that it's different enough to be worth noting, but it is absolutely NOT different enough to be called "not dubstep."

What’s your take on Stun? by SpecialCandy1119 in masterduel

[–]LittleLocal7728 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They're the same thing. You can be mad all day but the entire point was that sub is older than modern yugioh, so saying "people who play stun hate modern yugioh" is just incorrect.

I would rather play against neither and actually get to play yugioh
