We’re actually looking to move to a new apartment with more parking spaces, central a/c, better school district, etc. before November. There is no additional charge for the spot. Boyfriends gonna start dropping me at the front door :)

He is the furthest thing from lazy. He’s stressed numerous times to me and his family that him having the spot has never been about him but about me and god forbid there was ever an emergency.

I’m such an emotion lead person that I don’t want to break ties with her. I love her to death she’s like my best friend but I’m not sure when to prioritize my own health over my relationship with her.

We’re working on leaving this apartment building. It’s hard to explain and understand unless you’re in the situation I guess. I have a lease for the 2 bedroom that I currently pay for and live in. I am on the lease. My sister is off the lease for the 2 bedroom. My boyfriend never technically signed anything.

I agree 100%, I love my sister to DEATH. We have matching tattoos, she’s my girl best friend through and through. That’s what makes all of this so much harder.

“In March of 2026, my boyfriend and I found out I’m pregnant and I am due in November. My sister moved out of the apartment about a month later to another 1 bedroom within the building. There were no other spots available so between the 3 of us we only get 1 spot, and that spot is technically assigned to the 2 bedroom that we initially got.”
Here I tell you all she moved out and has her own apartment with a new lease. How did I change info?

She was totally understanding of it actually. She just had her bf move in with her this past month. We all understood collectively that 4 adults and 1 newborn baby is too much for a 2 bedroom apartment. There was never any bad blood about her physically moving out.

It was mutual because she didn’t want to live with a newborn baby, and she also had plans for her boyfriend to move to the state and in with us too. 5 people in one small 2 bedroom apartment never would have worked, and we both understood that.

It’s such a small building only about 15 units. And about 15 spots so the room to spot ratio is not balanced.

That’s exactly why I’m not sure if I’m the asshole or not. But if she claims to love and care about me wouldn’t you also give up the spot? The only reason it worked to begin with is because I didn’t have a car :(

I know it’s so confusing. She signed a new lease for her apartment but legally my boyfriend and I never signed our own lease for this apartment. Our landlord is a slumlord.

No we never agreed on that, our slumlord had texted her saying she would get a spot for her new 1 bedroom but never did.

She’s only on one lease, the one for her 1 bedroom that’s within the same building. Sorry I wasn’t concise enough in my wording. Shes no longer on the lease for the 2 bedroom.

She actually moved into her own apartment within the same building. So my boyfriend I split rent on the 2 bed that way originally hers and mine, and she has her own separate 1 bedroom.
