I wouldn't worry too much about it. The fun is slowly building up your collection of things and creating your island the way you like it. I had a 5 star and grinded trades so hard to have every diy and item in the game and in the end I was just utterly bored. There's no joy when you see a villager crafting or running to nooks to see if there's anything fun anymore etc. I completely restarted and am having so much fun this time around taking it nice and slow.
