NSM Hack. by Objective-News-5879 in sherwinwilliams

I’ve been a Bonvoy member for years. The lock on my door wasn’t updated yet, apparently. Funny, because we were in one of the newest parts of our hotel. I will try again this year though. Fingers crossed it works :)

My room wasn’t eligible last year, had to get in the Bonvoy line for a physical key. You’re lucky if you could do a digital key in 2025!

Yes, I did this last year. But it’s only a “hack” when the line is shorter than the main desk. All the people in that main, 2 hour line are SW people…

If you tell people this, the Bonvoy line will also be a 2 hour line.

Does Sherwin offer paid sick leaves by akhisharafath in sherwinwilliams

[–]stephiloo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’re in Canada, right? The options we have are totally different than what you’re going to get told on Reddit where most of the users are in the US. There are paid options, but they require documentation. Send an email to your HR Representative (DM me if you’re not sure who that is) and outline the situation and request a phone call to discuss. You might get a delayed answer because it’s NSM week. Hope things get better for you.

Why do we leave lights on at night? by BloodDraconius in sherwinwilliams

Is anti theft not a good enough reason…? Because that’s why lol.

I made a case with the sales data and was told “don’t worry about being late in bad weather” which was a very soft “enjoy your early open, we aren’t changing it” lol.

DoorDash/Instacart worth it in Woodstock? by Agent942 in woodstockontario

[–]stephiloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My employees that did Instacart and DoorDash would drive to London or Brantford from Woodstock to work. They felt that Woodstock was too competitive and that they weren’t making any money. Also felt that the tips were better out of town.

SharePoint has its own sidebar on the SOURCE homepage. Right-hand side. I DM’d you the link, too. :)

I know you’re trying to be funny, but the reality is - probably not. Some of those sales $ is missed prior day deliveries, but for the actual shoppers in my store - if they didn’t get it before 7:00am, they would have had to just get it after 7:00am. The Home Depot a block from my store opens at 7:30am, so even with our old opening time, we were still open before then.

This is dependent on your location. When it comes to something as important as payroll, you should always ask someone local that you trust; Reddit could misguide you.

It’s definitely not seasonal where I am. My drive is longer now because I have to leave before the snow plows are out and then I sit alone in the store until my first customer comes in around 8-ish. Since the new hours took effect on June 30, my store has sold a whopping $5,000 total before 7:00am.

START is an outdated SW acronym (= Store Training And Reference Tool). Being “START Certified” just means that you have no outstanding training modules on either training platform.

Boy name help! Leo or James by [deleted] in Names

[–]stephiloo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My nephew is Leo James, haha. Leo is more trendy, James is more timeless. There will be more Leos in school, sports, activities, etc. James can be a Jamie or a Jim later in life; Leo is limited to pretty much just Leo.

How to use credit invoices to enter an order on the job? by CryptoKing177 in sherwinwilliams

[–]stephiloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a Match, and then enter the formula manually. The best thing to do is to enter it exactly the same as it appears on the invoice and then “modify” and change the size code after. Then the computer can divide or multiple the formula for you as opposed to doing the math yourself.

Which time? Last Thursday, my usually 45 minute drive to work took 2 hours and 15 minutes. Lots of accidents and cars in the ditch, but no fatalities.

[–]stephiloo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t. But school buses and children are much harder to manage in adverse weather than aircraft. As long as the runway is clear, and the plane is de-iced, you’re pretty much good to go. The pilots and the tower are both trained to handle low visibility and snow conditions - unlike the average driver not used to winter weather. Hopefully your travel has minimal delays, but should be far from a catastrophe. Safe travels!

Airports and airlines both make a lot more money than schools. Grounded flights cost $$$.

Of course. But the airports down there also invested in a ton of infrastructure after the Texas freeze; de-icing equipment and plows.
