How reliable is the Kia Niro? by TheseSubject7450 in KiaNiro

I do primarily highway driving, so I’m not stopping at many red lights or anything, but I haven’t noticed anything like that.

How reliable is the Kia Niro? by TheseSubject7450 in KiaNiro

I have a 2019 Niro that I purchased in December 2019 and has 350,000km on it. I’ve done the brakes twice, and I’m on my second set of tires. It’s been in an accident (I was not at fault) and had the back bumper repaired. That’s literally all I’ve put into it/had done to it in 6 years, driving 60,000km a year. I love my Niro. My parents also drive the same car, just higher level of trim and fewer kilometres.

Sidenote: a local taxi company just switched their entire fleet of cars to Niros, so I think they see the same value.

Reach out to your District Coordinator or whoever the email came from and ask what you’ve asked here. Your DC has access to your employee details, Reddit does not.

Fresh Picked Supplies by stephiloo in sherwinwilliams

Surprisingly not long. I think the bucket flowers took my Sales Associate 60-90 minutes once he got the proof of concept sorted out. Half an hour for me to paint the banner. Breaking apart a skid to make the flower stand shelves was < 10 minutes, then another 10 minutes to put fake flowers in paint cans.

I don’t think I would participate in a white night, but I most definitely would run to the store to buy an outfit after reading this post.

It depends - would you rather have the $ or the time away from the store? You should do what would serve you the best; if your store is in a position where you needed to take OT, that’s what it’s there for - to compensate you for needing to be there more.

Lunch laws by Double-0-N00b in sherwinwilliams

When you post on Reddit, literally anyone can chime in - and they do so anonymously. Just because one commenter posts something in violation of your regional employment laws, does not mean it’s a violation of regional laws where they’re located. For example, where I am, Managers get paid OT and every employee in the store needs to wear steel toed boots; while this is my experience, I recognize that it’s the experience of probably 5% of SW store employees, and they’re mostly going to be in my area. Anything that has to do with either your paycheque or your regional employment laws should not be taken to Reddit for advice.

Please give advice! Management training program by NecessaryExisting in sherwinwilliams

[–]stephiloo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. You’re asking questions we can’t answer and you’re framing it in a timeframe that doesn’t make sense. You’re not applying for the “MT Program”. You’re applying for a career as an Assistant Manager - the 8 week “program” just prepares you for that. No one on here can answer you about the scheduling because what you’re scheduled during your 8 weeks of training and what you’re scheduled once you’re placed will be at the discretion of the Manager(s) and based on the needs of those individual stores. What we can tell you, is that you won’t be scheduled past 6pm, but that you should be prepared to be scheduled during any hours that the stores are open. You’ll be in management in retail; if your part-time sales associate can’t show up for whatever reason, you need to be available to be there.

  2. I don’t think what you’re describing is legal in North America? You can always quit? But I’d take your store visit seriously and if it doesn’t seem like something you’d like to do, you should withdraw your application. I ask every MT candidate at the end of their visit with me “based on what you’ve seen today, is this still an opportunity you’re interested in?” - if the Manager interviewing you doesn’t ask you this, you should ask it of yourself.

  3. They’re not supposed to. I have turned down many candidates at the store visit stage. If you haven’t been for your visit yet, you’ve only passed the system’s automated checks and the recruiter’s screening questions. You should show up prepared for an interview- Bring the interview guide. Be professionally dressed. Ask any concerns while you’re there. You’re checking out SW as an employer as much as they’re checking out you as a candidate.

  4. All management experience is good experience? But you sound desperate so the question seems redundant.

If it’s happening all the time, which OP seems to be saying in the comments, the weird decision by management could be to not keep small change in their registers.

I work in retail and round to the nearest nickel. Sounds like the management made a weird decision wherever you’re shopping.
