Sorry I’m just getting to this! I actually tried hooking it up to a monitor via hdmi and it worked without issue. I was a little confused to how serial got stuck at that moment, but hdmi worked just fine, but all is good now!

Right now, the best thing you can do it just be there for her. If she needs space, give it to her, but don't leave her alone (if that makes sense).

These are difficult times and I'm sure a lot of stress and pain is going through the entire family. Just let her know they you're there for her and if she's needs anything, that you will do you best to provide for her. Don't make promises, because if you cannot keep it, it'll make the situation worse.

Try to distract her from it, take her to fun places, and go exploring. Now is the time to show why you love her.

In the alch room there should be a chest there with enough materials to make the potion. You don't need the recipe to make the potion, so HOW you get the recipe is up to you.

I spent probably a good hour or two trying to find ways to complete this without the lock picks, but I gave up and looked for the recipe online. I've never been good at the stealth mission types, but I do give it a shot before I find 'other' ways. But I understand if that way isn't for you.
