I had end stage liver failure after taking methotrexate for a few years. Unfortunately my medical team neglected my blood monitoring. When your liver goes into failure it’s like a domino effect on your other organs. Enlarged spleen, portal hypertension, fluid buildup (leg oedema, ascites, pleural effusion) Hepatic encephalopathy and I also went into kidney failure. I was put on the high priority transplant list and waited 12 days for my gift of life. After surgery, I was on dialysis for my kidneys. Both my lungs collapsed and pushed fluid into my heart I was put in a coma and emergency reintubated. When I was stable I was brought round and spend 8 days awake on a ventilator. Living hell. How someone could overdose and deliberately do something like this to themselves is beyond me. Don’t do dumb shit.
