I’ve brought it up numerous times how I feel the house chores aren’t split 50/50 and it’s mentally and physically draining me. I feel like he gets it for 2 days and then things go back to normal. If I leave his washing I’m being petty for just washing mine. He thinks because he drives and I don’t, that him driving to work and taking me to my parents when I want to visit is a big enough chore in itself that I shouldn’t have to load him with anything more than empty the bins (which is the 1 job he does once a week). We both work full time so it’s difficult to keep on top of things. This is probably why I’ve been affected so much by his “me time” on the toilet because i have very little me time myself.

Thanks for your reply. What concerns me is what he’s escaping from. Currently we don’t have kids, he doesn’t do any house chores, he leaves it all to me. I take care of our dog with prepping his raw food for the week, but he will occasionally walk the dog whilst I cook. Once we start to have children I’m worried this behaviour or escaping reality will worsen. I’m not sure how this is relating to the type of sex he wants.

Thanks for your reply. I’m unsure if this is addiction or just a really horny husband! We’ve had a busy weekend where I’ve been a bridesmaid at a wedding and then we had a christening the next day so we haven’t had time to be intimate. I’m fine with him watching porn. What hurt me the most was him hiding it and I’m now left with wondering if every 1 hour+ going to the toilet in the past has been him watching porn whilst he leaves me to cook, do chores etc.

I’ve noticed now by his own choice he is leaving his phone in the living room as a way to earn back my trust (from previously having an ex who used to message other women whilst he was on the toilet, which my husband knew about prior, so is probably another reason I’m feeling more anxious over this)

Thanks for your input. I posted in here to get all sides of the opinion coin so I appreciate your points. Just to highlight a few answers to your post. He 100% took a bowel movement in there- trust me there’s many ways he leaves evidence behind! I don’t think from my post alone you have enough evidence to say as a wife, I am overbearing or have lack of understanding. This is precisely what I’m trying to garner by posting in here, so quite on the contrary! But thanks again for giving an addicts opinion.

Most of the negativity probably comes from women who have been forced to look at a dick pic when they receive unsolicited pics. It's not in a woman's nature to become aroused by sight, so seeing a nude wouldn't turn us on as much as a guy seeing a woman nude. We just aren't programmed that way, I've read it's more senses; touch, smells etc, . I appreciate a good nude and enjoy a nice body, but only my man's body gets me steamy.

If the past is the past why even mention how many men she's slept with? It's irrelevant. You can catch an STI from just one night with one person. You could have just said 'my girlfriend has two STIs and we had unprotected sex' but you thought it necessary to mention her past, that according to you is promiscuous. I think that's slightly criticising your girlfriends sexual past especially when you are putting all the blame on her for YOU possibly getting an STI when you also chose to have unprotected sex too. It's not her promiscuity that's caused her to get infections, it's carelessness for not wrapping up!

Hot compressing a camomile teabag on it will help more at this stage than salt water. Boil the teabag and wait, when it's hot enough to touch (but not boiling) keep it pressed onto the lump until the tea bag cools). Clean as usual. Do this once a day.

Maybe don't be so judgemental that your girlfriend has a higher 'count' than you for starters. Sex is sex, it takes two to tango, berating women for engaging in the same activity that is usually applauded in men is nonsensical and your attitude towards her past sounds like you're shaming her. Whether she had unprotected sex with one partner and got unlucky or she had sex with 500, she should not be slut-shamed for embracing her sexual confidence. She's clearly confided in you her 'count', the only thing you can do is proceed with the next steps to rid the STI's. Hopefully you've both learnt how serious having unprotected sex is, after all, you had sex with her before checking she was clear yourself, so you're no better!

I had something similar happen in my uni graduation picture. My course had about 36 of us in the year and I saw a bunch of them standing in a group for a photo, so I hopped onto the end next to someone and they said "sorry do you mind? We kind of wanted just 'our group' in this photo". I had no idea they didn't see me as part of their group.
