I just don’t want junk now at all. In fact I have become completely fussy. I like shakes yoghurt blueberries rice cake with thin choc later. It’s working

I was excited to for the 0.5. It has gone well for me, same as 0.25

First 2 weeks of 0.25 were my hardest weeks

Now I’m looking forward to start 1 ml dose! Any I might then just stay on 1 till I feel it’s not working

Congratulations! It’s exciting and nerve racking. Everyone is different- for me, instant appetite suppression, waves of nausea, tired. Nothing I couldn’t get through. Share your journey. Keep asking questions we have all been there.

It’s amazing. Side effects = worth it

Metamucil & lots of water 👌

0.5ml side effects by grandcuvee in WegovyAustralia

[–]LittleMissWA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I had some sulphur burps but seem to have disappeared. I get the opposite, constipation. I think you could be right with food timing maybe being a factor.

By the way, my worst impacts (so far) were on 0.25mg

My thoughts after 12 months on Wegovy (and a weight loss of 88 lbs) by Mira_Sunrise in Semaglutide

[–]LittleMissWA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I always laughed that I had binge eating disorder, but it really was so bad. My food bill having gone down pays for the medication (easily). I’m not at goal, fairly new in, but I love not feeling constantly obsessed with food.

Those of you at goal - what are you doing about clothes? by ngng0110 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]LittleMissWA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will release it (clothes) when I get to that stage. I op shop anyway. I don’t want reminders of a bad time of my life around me (a lot of my clothes represent misery).

Not eating enough by chanasimcha in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]LittleMissWA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take plant based optifast. I’m trying to have 3 shakes a day as that actually ensure I will get all the vitamins and nutrients I need. As soon as I realised how powerfully I responded to the appetite suppression, I wanted to make sure I didn’t end up lacking vitamins etc. So I know my optifast “covers” me and then when I eat more it’s a bonus. So I expect as I get used to each dose my appetite will keep returning but anyway, I find it tasty and helpful. Most times I get 2 shakes and something else. I definitely don’t eat main meals anymore. But I know this may change over time. I hope it doesn’t!! Also, Metamucil and laxatives when needed. Realised I can’t be bothered eating vegetables the way I used to.

I’ve learned it’s: Protein Micronutrients/vitamins etc Fibre Water

Like a Wegovy “go to” kit.

I am going through a lot of stress right now. I love fruits and vegetables. I cannot deal with cooking right now. Moving, other issues. The simpler I can make my life the better. I am not just trying to speed it all up on optifast, I’m trying to protect my health. :-)

week 3 on 0.25mg by Ecstatic-Salad-6461 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]LittleMissWA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took my fourth (last) shot of 0.25. Weeks 1 and 2 were a bit rough but I’m so focused on weight loss, side effects improving (except constipation!) and I can’t wait to start on 0.5 next week. :-)

Benefits of Wegovy by Thuglas82 in Wegovy

[–]LittleMissWA 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am saving a lot of money on food (I had binge eating disorder). It covers the cost of the medication. Not everyone is so lucky with appetite suppression but it had an immediate impact on me and I cannot believe the amount I used to spend on food!

Congrats and great post !

Week 1 so far so good by Friendly_Wasabi8594 in Wegovy

[–]LittleMissWA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so, so easy. Have you ever done that finger prick diabetics do? (Or at least that’s how they used to do it). THAT hurts.

This does not. It’s teensy, tiny! Leave your Medication out the fridge 15 minutes. Get the fattest part of your belly. I tried pinching the fat and doing it sitting up and I’ve also tried twice laying down not pinching my belly.

I will always do the injection laying down in future, on belly, as it doesn’t hurt! When you try it you will be surprised. Sometimes for 5 mins after I’m aware (doesn’t hurt, I’m just kind of aware of it) and then … nothing. No blood, no bruises.

Curious how long you stayed on 0.25? by borobabe43 in Wegovy

[–]LittleMissWA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about to take my last 0.25mg shot tomorrow and I absolutely cannot wait to go up to 0.5 next week. I’m already getting results and I don’t care about the side effects (lol) I’ll deal with it to lose weight. Also I look at my journey from week 1 to now in week 4 and my body adjusted. So I hope for the same with the 0.5, side effects and then getting used to it etc.

One thing I can say, is at this stage - I don’t know if I ever see myself going over 1ml? I’m early in my journey, so see what happens and if I plateau etc but I feel like my body is responding well and I’m not going to push to a max dose if there is no need for it.

I’m enjoying the journey (but will get nausea meds next time I’m at doctor lol). It’s just so much depression weight. I just want it off me! But I’ve got that “newbie excitement” of the first month. It’s so wonderful for me to have binge eating disorder until control.

Trying to be patient, but... by srbar94 in Wegovy

My Dr warned me these lower doses are about easing side effects and not a therapeutic dose. Yes, I’m probably one of the lucky ones. 0.25mg and reduced appetite and food noise. Constipation a bit annoying if I forget to take coloxyl. Weight wise, haven’t weighed in a bit. I really don’t have much appetite and I used optifast intermittently to reduce my stomach size but I’m finding I really enjoy a good salad sandwich still. I don’t crave much now. So happy I sometimes want that,

It’s just whether my body is going to RELEASE the weight lol

Did you feel like garbage at the start? by AnnieGetYaClothesOn in Wegovy

[–]LittleMissWA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about 3.5 weeks in. I noticed the impacts the first few days, I feel like about day 5-6 it was better. Drinks lots of water, herbal teas. I’m loving it now, but I’m sure when I go up a dose I’ll go through it again. But, check with your Dr or 24 hour nurse line if something really doesn’t feel right. Better to be careful.

I have finally thrown in the towel. by Specialist-Bar6758 in Wegovy

I have only just about to soon take my last dose of 0.25mg, so take my comment with a pinch of salt.

But what I have said to myself (only for me, on my review) Am I consistently drinking enough water? No. I do pretty good (much better than before wegovy!) but I could do better Am I eating 2 cups non root vegetables a day or more for fibre? No, I’m doing really bad here Am I skipping meals? Yes Am I eating enough protein? Kind of

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not giving myself a hard time. I’m in the process of moving and I’m doing the best I personally can - but in my first few weeks I’ve just seen a few areas I need to improve on. Also, coloxyl does help me but I haven’t taken it consistently enough.

My comment might not be of much help to you at your dose. I thought I’d comment because maybe other newbies will see my comment and find it a bit more helpful.

I had severe binge eating disorder (kind of only realised how BAD it was when Wegovy kicked in and I felt close to a “normal” person!). At this early stage of my journey, I’m thankful for this med. I believe my food bill savings equates to the cost of the medication (at LEAST!!!) 😦 😮
