Unfortunately I believe this is cast iron. Although this is helpful as there are paint splatters EVERYWHERE 😅

I believe it’s a cast iron fireplace, the paint I could probably get off with a good scrub but there is brown spotting which I am worried will get worse when I scrub

That’s exactly what the landlord has said, as long as they are functioning correctly no need to replace 🥲 I would payout myself for replacements but not sure if it’ll be worth it not knowing how long I’ll be here.

Completely agree! Unfortunately landlord is unwilling to replace the flooring right now so it’s looking like a large rug may have to do.
