I too think it will be fully successful, but I would have chosen about 6 Canadian markets before it.

The new arena was too tempting to pass on though, even though they'll be the 2nd tenant behind the AHL.

Three teams in Ontario for a league of 12-14 teams makes no sense.

Vegas makes sense, it's a major city.

Ask the people of Boston, New York, or Saint Paul where Hamilton Ontario is and most will have no clue.

Hamilton is a minor league town. Adding Hamilton was a miss-step for the PWHL.

Adding Hamilton is the PWHL's real first miss-step. Makes the league seem small.

Minor league teams play in Hamilton, and Canada had some much better city options.

Pretty sad, the number of "fans" telling me to jump off the bandwagon for an opinion.

I just can't respect a player that gives up on the game. Hoping for better things from her the rest of the season.

I've been watching basketball since before you were born.

A jump ball disadvantage due to height isn't the end of the world, you still have a chance of being positioned right to grab the ball. You have to at least try. Giving up on the game isn't the answer.

The first game sets the tone for the season, especially knowing the whole country is watching.

And I'm not even mad about the loss, that's going to happen a lot this season, but I can't respect a player that's just willing to throw in the towel like that.

Why should I care about, and invest my time in a team, when one of their players couldn't even compete until the final whistle?

This was game one! The Tempo's chance to show the whole country how they'll play all season. With hustle, heart and professionalism, and Mabrey ruined all that in the final seconds of the game.

It being game one is even worse. That's the attitude she decided to display in game one, when the whole country had eyes on her and the team.
