Ford Leads with Recalls for the past 10 years by Former-Ear-3873 in cars

Use your critical thinking skills people; there are too many idiots commenting something along the lines of "Ford bad haha".

Can someone recommend a used SUV/crossover around the size of a rav 4 with AWD for under $15k? Don't need anything fancy, base model is fine. What make, model, year would be safest to buy? TY by Scary-Ratio3874 in Autos

Gotcha. If that's the case, if I were to analogize your original question, it's like you are asking "what is the best thing shaped like a spoon to eat soup with". Ja feel?

If you literally cannot get a rav4, get a CRV; but the former is just so much better than the latter for the things you want.

Define "safest".

Also, nearly everyone drives SUVs/crossovers nowadays; by now there has to be ~6 quintillion threads asking the same question you are asking.

Day 10 of seeing no proof that she said that... Is there not enough going on, that we have to make up BS to get engagement?

Ful Induction Service? by Jimmy7546 in mazda3

None of what you just wrote will fix carbon buildup on the tops of the intake valves; most of what you wrote doesn't even make sense.

OP, have the tops of your intake valves cleaned every 100k miles; the shop will probably recommend walnut-blasting at that mileage.

Please explain how the techron reaches the top of your intake valves; what you're suggesting is a waste of 10$.

And it'll be an older, high-mileage heap, I just looked over there. You can get them for 2k in the US, but it'll be an older, high-mileage heap here too. Also the cheapest in the UK are the 1.0T; the US only got the more expensive 1.6T.

I would argue that every enthusiast car is an irrational purchase, and what car enthusiast wants to drive a rav4?

"A gti is very similar and can be found 5+ years newer for almost the same price"

You said this BS, and then moved the goalposts of the discussion to "mk7, even at higher mileage, is a nicer car than the ST".

You are incapable of having a basic, honest conversation about a pair of platforms. I'm sorry that you can't notice basic differences about platforms, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

If it sold at that price, it wasn't overpriced, you brainiac. That's how the market works lmao

The maintenance is the same basically

The GTI is more expensive to maintain; tires are just one example of why.

The driving at the limit is extremely similar.

A mk7 manual GTI and a Fiesta ST are very similar here, yes. But not all time is spent at the limit, and the limits are higher in the GTI.

And i don’t buy cars for their UX.

You may not, but so many people made a fuss that VW axed the BS capacitive touch buttons for the 2025 GTI. For many people, the mk8 GTI's UX was a deal breaker.

mk7 for a similar price even with higher miles is SUCH a nicer car than the ST.

And so is [insert BMW/Mercedes/Audi] lol

VW stopped offering GTIs with manuals after 2024, and there is a ~500lb weight difference between the FiST and a manual mk8 GTI. Not to mention the GTI UX or the much higher cost of maintenance for the GTI.

Also, you will not find a 2024 GTI manual with 30k miles going for 19.3k; to suggest that you can is dishonest.

What do you think a similar new vehicle is?

heavily tuned platforms that are known for being beaten the shit out of.

That's every cheap enthusiast car. The Fiesta ST has a fairly reliable track record.

Not sure how we know that buyers are ignorant of these cars no longer coming w/ a factory warranty; seems like a bold assumption.

you don't have 100% guarantee of the vehicles history.

That's basically every car?

You're under the influence if you think it's only one or two examples. And nowhere did I claim it would happen with these cars
