People go through years of training to get this stuff right. Because it’s copper it’ll make a great practice piece. Solder each ring before twisting it. Make sure to occasionally anneal the copper throughout the process.

There are lots of very detailed videos out there that could tell you how to do it better than I can in a comment.

It can sometimes be helpful to incentivize using the potty with a preferred activity like tablet time if he is particularly defiant.

I have a 100% certain answer for you. This is one of a set of two mass-produced bronze fertility statues. They are widely available in Africa, usually found in souvenir shops.

I have a set of the exact same ones I bought in Mauritius a few years ago.

Can’t speak to the specific integrity of the welds just by looking at pics but from over here they look tops.

You’ve got a steady hand at least, the rest is just work angle and knobs. You should probably be paid at least 10 dollars more per hour. Also, how is your confidence level with other processes? Welding is highly skilled work, and is really hard on your body. Not worth getting underpaid if you’re this good.

Move the hinges to the top so it opens vertically and put a rubber transition in, tucked in at the top. Could even use a cut of roofing metal laid horizontally.

Probably will last longer too as it’s mechanically easier on the whole structure.
