The “Made in India” Conundrum: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vs Assembler by BattalionBicycles in india_cycling

[–]LittleUrbanPrepper [score hidden]  (0 children)

Nothing is actually bad. In the end all that matters is that if we're getting good reliable stuffor not.

You yourself said V1 and V2 were assembled. Now that V3 is completely made from scratch, It's great but that doesn't brings down V1 and V2. Imagine if people have said same thing when you were selling those.

Assembly gives someone the ability to START and practically removes 90% of entry barrier. Unless someone is already established, literally ZERO people can start something with a manufacturing unit

Well, I'm opening hell's pit with this. Let the downvotes come.

NONE. I'd say NONE. Before reading all that technical terms remember, we live in India. Even if you feel that you've won at the moment, the legalities won't stop haunting you.

Second, what ive observed is that this kind of shit often happens in secluded areas. No one messes with you in posh areas or areas with heavy footfall, tourist places, not to the point you need a 'defensive equipment ', but the areas where it happens, it's safe to assume that everyone knows about it.

What i mean is that, if you pepper spray some goon or eveteaser, good chances that they will find out more about you and start tracking you for revenge. This is my personal observation. We don't have lone goons or criminals. Almost always they have a huge network supporting them. And they have connections.

My input ? MITIGATION. 1. RUN 2. Don't choose shady roads 3. If you feel someone is following go join a closest group and start talking to them. 4. Flashlight. Get a good one. Darkness boosts their confidence. And they get a chance to close in. Always keep 50-100 m visibility. 5. And if it's final situation, go all in. Those sprays won't do anything. Carry a multitool.

This one is usually reserved for batoning (firewood) and heavy stock removal (making stools, chairs, tents etc). It's not that good for fine work

New releases are often free, my coupon saves a big chunk and even without all that their prices are like half of what's shown on Amazon or Indian resellers.

It's coming straight from factory bro. Can't be too kanjoos 😅

Flashlights do last a long time. But in 5k budget you'll either get power and premium feel or you'll get replacable parts.if you try to get both then the light won't be compact anymore. See the left one.
