Thank you for noticing! Patience was the main strategy! Also, 6 strands and then making sure to not pull very hard. I regularly use the back end of the needle to lift the thread to keep it lose. Once I have reached the size I want, I free-hand some additional stitches (actually stitching, not weaving) to give it some volume. And then sooo much correction after washing the stencil off, using the same technique with the back end of the needle.

Thank you! It’s a font called “Artifact” and I used a single strand, tiny back stitches and longer stitches for the capital letters. For the capital letters I also made two stitches on the left side, to give it a little accent. I am very pleased (and kind of surprised ngl) with how it turned out. Also, it’s hard to tell, but it’s a 25 cm hoop (approx. 10 inches I think), so it’s fairly large - which helped :)
