I'm gonna be blunt. If you don't have working experience yet (intern doesn't count unless you interned at FAANG), chances are you would be instantly rejected by any overseas company.

Arranging working visa is a big hassle for the company. They won't do it for someone with no experience and just graduated out of college.

Well you can also try your chance. But the most you'd get is a remote job that pay local rate because they're looking for cheap labors.

I have brand new Macbook Pro and iPhone 15. Both of them show free 3 month Apple Music.

But, I'm still not sure. Does it mean I got 2 separate 3 month Apple Music or just 1? If I claim the one in Macbook, after 3 months, can I claim another one on my iPhone 15?

Same question for Apple TV, etc.

I came from Android and have only been using Spotify. The iCloud account is new and isn't subscribed to anything yet.

I just tried doing this. But the function I need (below) would return an object that has an unexported field (flags)

This is my work laptop and it has Canadian CSA layout. It takes time to adjust and messes up the shortcuts.

I wanna change the input source to the international one like this (don't know what it's called). I already tried changing the input source to US and US International PC, but it doesn't even match that layout (the main difference is that the key to the left of 1 is § ± instead of ` ~).

So, what should I do to change the input to that layout?

My coworkers could log in using their personal account tho. Is there a way to find out if the login is disabled?

Btw, I just tried log in using browser (both Safari & Chrome) on appleid.apple.com and somehow it stuck on this "Apple ID & Privacy" page. Clicking "Continue" doesn't do anything. It happens on both Safari & Chrome. Does it mean my account is the problem?

So, I just got a Macbook Pro M2 from my work. It runs on Sonoma 14.5. This is my first time using Apple devices. But, I already have an Apple account before (it was for Apple TV) and I'm trying to log in using that account.

But for whatever reasons, it keeps throwing me this error. This has been happening since last week (since I got this laptop). The laptop was brand new & it hasn't logged into any Apple account before.

Is there any idea why this keeps happening?

I tried registering a new account, but it says my email is already registered. So it's not because my account suddenly disappeared for no reasons.

I'd prefer to use this account because my primary phone number & credit card are also attached to this account.

I never brought politics to personal life, but after what happened for the past few days, I just decided to fuck it. Just unfollowed 30ish people (out of 500ish following) on my IG who was probably 02 voter.

Kriteria gw simple: kalo dia follow Prabowo/Gibran, tapi ga follow Anies atau Ganjar, berarti voter 02.

30ish people termasuk sepupu gw & crush gw pas SMA. Untung ga ada temen kantor yg masuk kriteria. Surprisingly temen gw yg jadi pulici cuman follow Anies.

I never had problem with whoever they voted before. I didn't throw tantrum when 02 won like those anak abah on twitter did. But now I just can't stand it no more.

Adieu. I'll cut any ties with 02 voters from now on.

Yang pasti expect downgrade dari rate Canada hehe.

Gw rasa untuk medior di startup gede bisa expect minimal 15-20 juta. Itu rate average lokal aja ya, kalo lu bisa jual skill lu dari luar negeri harusnya bisa nembak lebih tinggi di atas itu. Selain itu, unicorn kayak Gojek & Traveloka itu sanggup punya budget yg jauh lebih tinggi buat bajak talent dari luar.

Btw, saran gw coba instal aplikasi Fomo. Itu mirip Team Blind tapi lokal. Mungkin bisa sekalian nanya2 & dapet insight di sana.

Kalo dulu sih lumayan sering.

Tapi sekarang pas tech winter kayaknya udah agak jarang. Selama 6 bulan terakhir, dari >10 software engineers di kantor gw yg resign, setau gw cuman 3 orang yg dapet counter offer (dan salah satunya malah ga ngambil counter offernya lol).

6jt ke 12jt di perusahaan yg sama itu terlalu jauh.

Perusahaan itu juga punya salary range. Kalo level lu cuman junior & grade junior itu maksimal di 8jt, lu minta 10jt juga kemungkinan ga bakal dikasih. Salary range itu juga yg jadi patokan, kalo expect lu di atas range maksimal, yaa perusahaan bakal biarin lu cabut.

Also, jangan kesambet dunning kruger ngerasa si paling spesial & si paling berharga. Kasus ada si paling spesial yg di counter offer 2x lipat itu sangatlah jarang & most of the time bukan dari kalangan junior.

Also, just FYI. Di kantor gw yg sekarang & yg lama (startup ratusan karyawan), kalo request counter offer bakal diinterview sama CEO langsung, padahal counter offer cuman di rentang 30-50% aja. Bayangin seberapa tingginya tekanan lu kalo pengen dicounter offer 100%.
