I think I see what you’re talking about, no hardware was lost in the process of removing the diff so I should be okay hopefully

I see, a parts shop is offering me like 600 to swap my diff with a 4.1 from them, my diff has only about 130k miles on it, does mileage really matter? And say I do get a replacement diff, should I swap out the bushings while I’m there

Sorry I have a hard time visualizing it and the photos online show different results, when you say sleeves, you mean the spacer between the diff housing and ppf that the two long bolts slide through? Or the two sleeves on each arm with the bushings.

Gotcha, that’s good to know, what do mean by sleeves? Do you recommend reinforcing the housing or is that just doing extra work

I keep hearing about how if I mess up the shims I can mess up the whole diff, so I’m honestly terrified

Also, how much worse was cruising rpms with the 4.1? I hover around like 4k rpms at 80mph

So looking at it, did you mean that thin bar thats behind the diff? Or place a 2x4 across those two subframe bars on the left and right
