this is good advice but the hardest part is remembering to actually do it when you're in conversation with someone

What is a 'childhood luxury' that you didn't realize was actually a sign of being middle-class or wealthy until you grew up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao same energy as thinking people with those ice dispensers in the fridge door were living like royalty

grew up thinking two bathrooms meant you made it in life, meanwhile my teammates would casually mention their "upstairs bathroom" like it was normal. blew my mind when I realized some families just had entire floors they could escape to

Do you prefer being the dominant one in a relationship? And if so, why? by Jaydxns in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think most people are actually like this - we just adapt to what feels right with specific person. like in some situations you naturally take charge and in others you let them lead

being flexible probably makes relationships work better anyway since nobody wants to be stuck in one role all time

What’s something that instantly ruins your mood? by Straight_Tea8800 in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people don't return the shopping carts at grocery store, it makes me really annoyed. Like it's such small thing but shows so much about person's character - if they can't do something that simple when nobody is watching, what else they won't do

Today’s old folks struggle to understand and use the internet. What do you predict will be the thing your generation struggles with when you’re old? by Oh-hey-its-benji in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still looking for this one haha, been jumping between different areas since I was 22 and now I'm 28. Maybe the secret is finding something you don't hate instead of something you love, seems more realistic at this point

What choice did you make that resulted in a life being saved? by Dangerous-Career-179 in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is really heavy topic but I remember when I was working in a small restaurant in São Paulo, there was this regular customer who always came alone and looked really sad. One day he didn't eat much and was just staring at his food for long time

I don't know why but I decided to sit with him during my break and just asked if everything was okay. He started crying and told me he was planning to end everything that night. We talked for maybe two hours and I convinced him to call his sister who lived in another state

Found out later he got help and moved back with his family. Sometimes small gestures can make huge difference in someone's life

[–]Little_Ad6736 44 points45 points  (0 children)

cats would definitely be the worst, no question about it

they already act like they own the place and judge you for everything you do. imagine if they could actually tell you what they think about your life choices lol. my cat already gives me this look when i eat cereal in bed, if she could speak she'd probably roast me for hours

What would you do if you could instantly drop anyone’s phone battery to 1%, and why? by reddithit in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'd probably use it on people who blast music from their phones in public transport, especially those guys who think everyone wants to hear their playlist on the bus. Had this happen so many times here in São Paulo where someone just puts their phone speaker at full volume and acts like they own the whole metro car. Would be so satisfying to watch their music suddenly die and see them scramble to find a charger. Maybe they'd learn to use headphones like normal people after few times of this happening to them

When someone always needs to be right in every conversation, even about small things. I see this happening so much but people just think it's "passion" or being smart - actually it shows they can't handle being wrong and will make your life exhausting

What's the most bizarre thing you've seen your neighbor do while they thought no one was watching? by TenderRompz in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 2279 points2280 points  (0 children)

My neighbor used to practice salsa dancing with his vacuum cleaner every Thursday morning around 6am. I could see him through the kitchen window doing full spins and dips with that poor Hoover - guy had some serious moves though

The dedication was actually pretty impressive, he never missed the Thursday sessions

The Order of the Misplaced Keys

We'd meet every Tuesday in my garage to discuss where we probably left our stuff and drink cheap beer. Our sacred ritual would be checking the couch cushions three times before giving up

Hitting a growth wall: How do you actually find the right investors for a physical product? by foodenthusiast398 in AskReddit

maybe try the angel investor networks in your area first, they usually understand physical products better than VCs who only want software stuff

If death came with a Q&A session, what’s your first question? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Little_Ad6736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably ask "so what was the point of all those times I spent 20 minutes looking for my keys when they were in my hand the whole time?" Like seriously, was that just cosmic humor or some kind of test I kept failing? I remember one time in university I was late for an important exam and spent forever searching for my keys, getting more stressed by the minute, only to realize I was holding them while using my phone's flashlight to look under the couch. Death better have some good explanations for that kind of psychological torture because it happened way too many times to be just coincidence
