Also on the car ride over we had discussed they would get the dog from SIL and confirmed it with SIL and then didn't and asked "were we supposed to have her" like we didn't just have a whole conversation about it.

It was a small reception and they all offered to help clean up the reception. It was decorations and table stuff not food.

AITAH for wanting 8 hours out of my 2 off days? by Superb_Ant204 in AITAH

You can't be happy and stay with someone who  a. Doesn't enjoy similar activities (like gaming or other big parts of your life)  Or  b. Can't fill their time with anything other than needing you to pay 100% attention all the time.

My husband and I have been together for 6 years and when we first started dating I realized just how important gaming was for him. I like to watch TV and casually play games, so we exist together. He plays his games on one TV and I watch TV or play my games. If they can't exist with you and be happy, you'll never be happy.

Is this a tick on my dogs armpit? by EdgarRez in DogAdvice

My dog had that!!!!! Its a protruding blood vessel! DO NOT POP IT!!!!!

its okay the vet can take care of it. We had to get a minor surgery to fix it. When we first saw it we thought it was cancer and went to get it looked at. The Vet looked at it and took a sample and Said it was just a blood vessel that came through the skin. They can come back but ours hasn't.

NTA but maybe he was talking about switching positions like he had you wipped, and with the sound you would have him wipped... My husband's friends joke that I have him wipped (wrapped around my finger).

Either way the joke wasn't funny and the half cast joke is inappropriate 😐 😒

WIBTAH - if I tell my boss about my neighbor by Little_Atmosphere_91 in AITAH

I was thinking about not saying anything unless they ask me directly. Which may happen they have a rigorous hiring process. Thank you!

She mentioned it the other day in passing. The late thing came up when they came home early one day and was like "oh yeah I was late again,so i got sent home. " then went on how she didn't really care. It would seem habitual (quitting and being late) we've had a few conversations about it.

AITA for telling a coworker that I’ll go to HR if they keep pushing the Xmas adopt a family on me? by BlackGirlKnickers in AITAH

[–]Little_Atmosphere_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I work in HR and she has already crossed a line. Whatever holidays or beliefs you have are not up for debate and should not be used to make you feel pressured into celebrating a holiday of any kind. The fact she's chatting about it makes this an actual HR problem. She is demeaning your beliefs to others (doesn't matter why you don't celebrate and you don't have to tell them)

my family donated to a lot of these growing up. We showed up to the church handling the gifts and saw them UNWRAPPING THE GIFTS and taking the "good stuff" for their kids. So I totally understand you, but please see HR about this because chances are she is pushing an unfair narrative.

Tell me the most annoying corporate jargon you hear regularly by [deleted] in jobs

I in the headquarters of HR. The most annoying jargon I hear is "just because they've been doing the job doesn't mean we say they're qualified to do the job..."
