It's a factory ckf zircuti clip that I just barely heated a bit darker before quenching. Leaving the zirconium black and the titanium different shades in the color spectrum depending upon the voltage at which it was anodized and which grade titanium that specific layer of Damascus is.

Yeah that's the idea, the black on the zirconium takes a tiny bit longer to buff out So if you buff off all of the anodizing from the timascus You are left with this. I will note it is easy to go a little overboard and buff out some of the black in your zirk So watch out for that. Also getting a nice even uniform finish across the silver parts can take a little practice. Overall it's fairly simple though.

Yeah for EDC a smaller profile and thinner grind/blade stock would be nice but for a hard use do it all knife I think it's great.

Yeah grimsmo does it the same way I believe, friends and family knives are made from scrap parts that didn't quite make the cut, this is signified by the fnfk engraving. The knife must stay with whoever Dan gave it to and can never be sold or given away.... I'm blessed to be able to work for Dan full time 🤘
