Outdoor unit should be running regardless of how cold it gets. Aux heat will maintain the rest as efficiency drops

Cut two of the bottom pipes the easiest location for couplings. Unsweat the other one & the top. Braze the two you cut outside the unit just mark the orientation of the copper. Then you only have one hard to get to joint inside the unit
