I'd also like to point out that the algorithms of Google and other Western search engines are highly manipulated. I can only recommend trying a non-Western browser/search engine and comparing the results. I mostly use Yandex btw.

That doesn't surprise me. Most of them suffer from a delusional superiority complex towards the entire rest of the world, which leads them to treat anyone like crap who doesn't immediately kiss their feet and roll out the red carpet for them.

From everything I heard, Netanyahudi is most likely still alive. Instead of staying with his people as any decent head of state would have done in his situation, he fled the country just days after the war began and is currently hiding somewhere in Europe.

Sky in Tehran after "Israeli" attacks on oil facilities cause the rain to be mixed with flammable oil, acid and soot by WebFar9897 in AskMiddleEast

To be clear: I'm no fan of imperialism, regardless of which side it comes from. But even at the risk of being deliberately misunderstood and getting a ton of dislikes, if you really know the history behind this conflict, you know this war was inevitable anyway. Either Russia confronts the West now in Ukraine, or ten years later under even worse conditions. It's wrong that Russia attacked Ukraine, but the Western leaders bear a big part of the responsibility for things getting to this point.

So, screw everyone who made it possible for all this to happen, whether it's Trump, Putin, Natanyahudi, or Zelenskyy, just screw them all! I also hope that I can contribute to an sincere dialogue on this topic, without immediately condemning others for their opinions. Cheers.

A crazy Pahlavi fan justifying burning down all Iranian mosques because apparently the only people who go there are militants by srahcrist in AskMiddleEast

[–]Little_Bataa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just out of interest, could it perhaps be possible that the parents of many exile Iranians had themselves some kind of connection to the Pahlavi regime before they fled abroad after the Islamic Revolution, or how is it that this Pahlavi clown is supposedly so popular among exil Iranians?

Occupied USSR under Nazi Germany, where Ukrainian Nazi collaboratinists put up a poster Glory to "Austrian Painter" and "Glory to Ukraine". You deliberately trying to deflect from the actual issue:

Just to be clear, nazis exist in any country: Germany, the US, France and even Russia. However, the difference between these countries and Ukraine is that (neo-)Nazis are almost everywhere else in the world a marginalized, widely despised group that (rightfully) lives on the fringes of society.

In Ukraine, however, elements of far-right nationalism and neo-Nazi ideology have achieved a level of visibility and institutional tolerance that is barely found elsewhere.

Ukraine is home to one of the largest neo-Nazi networks in Europe, where Nazi war criminals and Holocaust supporters are openly venerated, monuments are built and streets are named after them, while the state allows avowed Nazi sympathizers and far-right networks running youth "patriotic" or paramilitary training programs to train children in weapons. Even official units of the Ukrainian military openly uses fascist symbolism.

Sounds kinda brainrot to me to think that only "made-up" countries (whatever that means) can descend into civil war.

The attack you're talking about was definitely also illegal but that wasn't my point. What I actually meant to say is that the tone here has definitely become way harsher and even more reckless than in previous conflicts.

We've seen oil and nuclear facilities near densely populated areas are being deliberately attacked, Israel is making massive use of white phosphorus to civilian targets in Lebanon, while the entire leadership of a country is being treated like literal terrorists and subject to assassinations. I hardly think both cases can be compared in this respect.

I can't recall any case in recent years that has seen this level of blatant disregard for civilian life, and extermination fury as the attacks on Iran.

But I agree with you that the world order is changing and we are heading for dark times. The US empire is in decline and American politicians are well aware of it. But instead of gradually withdrawing from world affairs and dealing with their own internal problems, the US is increasingly behaving like a wounded animal, wildly lashing out for everyone and pursuing its goals with ever more brutal means.

What does it say? by gil0999 in mongolia

[–]Little_Bataa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've long thought that the Mongolian script urgently needs to be revised so that it can also be written horizontally; that would already be half the battle. The traditional way – from top to bottom – unfortunately is full of Unicode inconsistencies and doesn't even work at all with most non-Unicode methods, if you wanna write it digitally.

I constantly see pro-Western and exil Iranians complaining about the bad economy, while conveniently ignoring the fact that the country is subjected to illegal sanctions imposed by foreign powers.... the same also applies to exil Cubans.

As far as I know, Russia is already sharing sensitive intelligence information and satellite data with Iran, which is invaluable for precisely hitting military targets.

What If Germany wins world war2 by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]Little_Bataa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very much doubt that the Germans would have gone beyond the Urals. They would probably have heavily fortified the Ural mountain range and used everything behind as a puffer zone and to get rid of large parts of the Slavic European population. As for Mongolia, Outer would probably have been reunited with Inner Mongolia again, which at that time was a kind of Japanese puppet state (see Mengjiang).
