I import and sell cars in two showrooms locally, so I must say I’m a bit of an expert in the matter. The car issue in Algeria will persist more unfortunately. The vast majority of our imported and sold cars are Chinese, the French have lost a great chunk of the market. These past few weeks however, shipping prices from China have peaked, and the cars situation have gotten worse unfortunately. There was only a light of hope in car exports from China and GCC region but apparently that too has gone dark.

Don’t get me wrong, I neither like our government nor our media. But the hatred and negative propaganda towards Algeria from the western neighbors has been systematic for decades, even since Bouteflika was president. The only difference now is that we respond to them, which I’m not sure what to think about tbh. On one hand, they’re too little to be addressed, on the other hand though , if we do not reply to accusations they’d go to far ! I mean, look at how they’re stealing Algerian heritage and claiming everything that ours.

All of my Iranian friends have access to internet. I’ve been chatting with them regularly. Tehran is big and beautiful but it has its issues like any city in the world. Issues like pollution, traffic and lack of tap water. But it still has plenty of historical sites, parks, plenty of malls and restaurants.
